As I understood, a unit entering the battlefield with the skill "tactical jump" can enter from every table edge.
Is it true also for the edge on the back of the enemy ZoD ?

Must the unit select the entrance border during the deployment phase ? Or can he/she select the entrance point the moment I decide to let him/her enter the game ?

    Thank you very much

    • In your Active Turn, when you decide to deploy one of your troopers with this Special Skill, mentally divide the edges of the play area down the middle into eight segments (two on each side).
So you pick the entrance section when arriving, rather than in the deployment phase.
So yes, you can enter anywhere, including the opponent's back table edge.

The various levels of AD can be a bit confusing, but yes: Tactical Jump is just the Airborn Infiltration skill that includes the enemy DZ as an entry point.

This brings another point up, however. It seems that the language about all troopers with the skill needing to come in on the same section is missing from Airborn Infiltration and Tactical Jump (where it's present in Parachutist). Would it not be simpler to just tell the player to come in touching a table edge (with the appropriate caveat for enemy DZ depending on the skill)? In other words, what's the point of the player mentally dividing the table into 8 sections and selecting one to come in on?

    Nevermind.

The language is there for Co-orders
    http://wiki.infinitythegame.com/en/Airborne_Deployment_(AD)
Just under the box for AD:2

    Airborne Infiltration and Coordinated Orders

If you declare a Coordinated Order to deploy using AD: Airborne Infiltration, all participants must enter the battlefield through the same segment.

    Then for AD:X

AD: Tactical Jump and Coordinated Orders

Troopers with AD: Tactical Jump may participate in a Coordinated Order with troopers with Levels 1 or 2 of Airborne Deployment.

However, in that case, the AD: Tactical Jump trooper must enter the battlefield through the same segment chosen for the rest of participants.

Yes, TacJump is a bit complicated, but very, very evil when you pull it off.
