probably is, but I have pretty much gone through the list of options and with newer players, or those unfamiliar with the faction tend to just get confused or not absorb the information.
If your list is so long that even a seasoned player would have trouble with it (because you hid your Lt. that well), then that's all you really need to say: "Even experienced players would have no idea who my Lt is, because I purposely made my list to hide it."
If you have That Guy in your gaming group, either call him out on his shit or find ways to never play him again. No, someone willing to cheat to win can find a new group to play with. If they're cheating (as opposed to messing up rules), they need to no longer get opponents. And maybe even get banned from tournaments, if they're really egregious. Exactly. I would much rather be hostile to assholes. Seems pretty reasonable. Also, it is what an experienced person would know about your army.
"Rather than play you and your cheating shit, I concede. Have fun with the zero VPs for the scenario."
Forfeiting to tank your opponent's tournament score is a scary precedent to set. If I ever got the inkling that someone was doing that in a tournament I was running, they wouldn't be welcome back in the future (and I probably wouldn't want to play with them casually either). If someone's cheating, or you think they're cheating, you get the judge.
Then the premise is moot because he wouldn't concede against them, as he wouldn't know he is a cheating shit beforehand
Uncomfortable as it is, if someone gets caught cheating in your tourney, they should get kicked out the round they are caught. No forcing anyone to play against them. Distribute their matches as byes, or get a bystander to play that slot for the rest of the tourney.
Oh I'm definitely in favor of that. But quitting the tournament when your opponent is found bending or breaking the rules instead of just telling the TO/judge is right out.
