The fluff also has entire squadrons of Cutters being involved in offensive actions, Infinity represents a very specific slice of military operations in the universe. If they ever do a 15mm scale mass battle game expect to see Meggie facing off against squads of Maggies and entire Knight Fireteams on a single base. Until then we're as likely to see Meggie in ITS as we are to see Xenomancers or Xenozombies from the Halloween pack.
Background-wise, I think there's one single Megalodron in the whole of the Human Sphere, the one that turns up in the PDF missions, on Paradiso after the Third Offensive. But there definitely has to be one, because there are no human forces in Combined Army space to be fighting one there!
I thought the Meggie was the alternative boss for the Core Defiance missions..? Doesn't that mean that we have at least 4 troopers in CA space fighting one? ;)
Yeah, four people. Not an actual 'tabletop Infinity Army List' force, like the ones that face the Megalodron in the Infinity PDF missions for the megalodron.
Just pointing out that heavier equipment exists in Infinity universe, usually in storage and not used for minor skirmishes that shift so fast that heavy equipment will never reach them in time. TAGs main appeal is they are light and fast to deploy, more maneuverable in cities and less destructive to the environment during combat and are easier to conceal, it is entirely reasonable to assume CA utilizes TAGs for roughly the same logistical ad operational reasons and forwards heavier equipment to front-lines of expeditionary forces only when it is deemed necessary.
Havent seen the inf missions but the Deffo has a crew about the size of an infinity ITS force if they all get disconnected from their hardwired crew posts and engaged in the fighting ;)
And hopefully the YJ "party van" like we see in Outrage carrying multiple Guijia, Tiger Soldiers, and Hac Tao.
