In my games recently I have been trying to focus on elements entirely unique to DBS, triple Pathfinders is one I have yet to try but am going to give a go this Thursday! I was wondering if anyone has any experience with it? It seems like a camo heavy lists worst nightmare, as well as providing good satlock opportunities! I'm bringing an EVO and double Fugazi as well, so if nothing else I'll have double flash pulse aros everywhere! Pew pew! :-)

3 sensor bots feels like overkill, especially when your flash pulse bots can do most of the heavy lifting by dropping sensors anyway, and are more resilient on the defensive thanks to mimetism..

Depends, in some missions you just want that many fast, cheap specialists. Plus 3 Pathfinders, 2 Fugazi, and an EVO hacker can put the opponent into flash pulse hell turn 1.

in the list where I have EM LGL and Guided ML, I play also 2 Hanzakuts and 3 Pathfinders to have enough of FO ;) Played few games with them already, for the FOing Hanzakuts still works better. Flash pulse, sensor, fast specialist is always nice to have, but haven't done so much for me yet. But in other hand, for spending 48pts I still prefer them then 2 bounty hunters + 2 fugazi.

I’ve found It takes too many orders to do it with sniffers. One to drop, one to Sat-Lock, one to shoot. Might as well just use the Pathfinders and save an order. I have wanted to try using a coordinated to move and drop sniffers but the situation never comes up.

Remember to take a KHD with that many repeaters around!

Remember too that the EVO can run Overclock on ALL of the Pathfinders too.

I have a question on how the sat lock works. I have never used it yet but I have heard about it but never seen it done. If someone could show me on how it works it would be nice.

Just like using Sensor. You get into range, enemy can be in Camo state or normal, declare Sat-Lock. WIP roll at -6. The enemy is automatically revealed if it was in camo state, and it's now in Targeted State.
Note: if you have an EVO Remote, it negates the -6.
Edit note: This can also be done through Sniffers.

Now the enemy is Targeted state you can: Shoot them at +3, Shoot with Guided (Smart) weapons, shoot with Speculative weapon (Grenades) with no penalty and +3.

    From the wiki
    REQUIREMENTS
    EFFECTS
    • This Special Skill allows its user to declare a Comms Attack with a WIP-6 Roll against a target within Sensor Area.
    • This Roll applies no further MODs (for Range, Cover, CH, ODD...) or bonuses unless otherwise specified.
    • Upon a successful Roll, the target enters the Targeted state, signified by a Targeted Marker (TARGETED).
    • The user need not have LoF to the target.
    • With this Special Skill, the Comms Attack may be declared against an enemy Camouflage or TO Camouflage Marker. In that case, a successful Roll not only tags the target as Targeted, but also Discovers him, replacing the Marker with the target's model.

So does all three sensors need to be touching each other for it to work?

No, they don't need to touch eachother, just be within ZOC of the target

It's in the EVO hacking device rules.

The enemy needs to be in Sensor range of any one of the Pathfinders or a Sniffer.

I'm curious now if you can do it as a coordinated order. I'm not finding anything that says you can't. So lets say you are at the -6, you get three chances to do the Sat-Lock. If you happen to have Command Tokens, and you really need to Target something, it can be really good.

One thing to note: Sat-Lock it not Forward Observe! You can't do this to get the Secret Objective to Forward Observe or Spotlight. They all just happen to put an enemy into Targeted state. Something that needs to change in my opinion.
