At the same time, if they were going to do this, I feel like they would have mentioned it in the announcement for the expansion. Getting another big portion of an army seems like something to promote.
Well. An expansion to Infinity isn't specifically germane to the Defiance Kickstarter. Also, the drumbeat just started of "When? When? When?" which never ends well.
True. Despite the occasional accusation that Defiance is just a Shas army box with a board game tacked on, the Kickstarter itself doesn't read to me as emphasizing backers getting a Shas army very much.
Well. We have like half a dozen other groups that we have names for that don't have an organized presence in Infinity proper already. What's one more to have people drool over for half a decade? :)
Well the Defiance game is set in the past of the Infinity setting, I think, just as Aristeia is. I expect to see the White Company and the Revenant MIF in NA2 for sure tho.
Not that much in the past as they've got Emily, Uhahu, and Knauf in StarCo so it's post-Outrage, the JSA content also includes the Daiyokai so it appears to be post-Uprising too.
Actually defiance is even past 3rd offensive and it's been hinted that outcast's time jump is the same as N4
