It wouldn't be the "body" but the driving personality and skill set. But it's unlikely in my view to show up in Haqqislam because Corvus Belli doesn't like to back-date things. :) I'm having a hard time making list(s) that I'm happy with and I hope that Saladin and/or Cho will crack things open for me.
Bandits and Jaguars were introduced with N3 like, four years ago dude. Also you think that these troops basically add nothing to Haqq and weren't needed. But you also think has it "pretty good" in access to troops from other factions. That's completely at odds with itself. Either they have it pretty good because they access to troops that actually benefit them, or they add nothing to Haqq, not both. This is a ludicrous position to take. I feel like you do often raise fair points but this is just whinging for the sake of whinging over literally nothing at all, and it's not even the topic of what we're discussing, it's barely adjacent to it.
Bandits and Jaguars were introduced with N3. Yeah, they're not "NEWEST BOOK EVER!" tier of new, but it's not like they came out with N2. Qapu-Khalqi was introduced with Human Sphere. At the same time as Corregidor getting a Sectorial. It really isn't "at odds with itself". How many other factions could even realistically take more than just a single unit here or there from other factions? Who had TAGs from other factions? QK was weird and it's weird they've retained these options since the edition has changed. It's weird that they chose to create a unit name for the 'not-Alguaciles' and then did nothing with them, while just throwing Iguanas and MBs over. Seeing as how the "topic" is nothing more than an offshoot of a Defiance teaser, which means it probably isn't something we'll see for over a year--there isn't exactly much to talk about.
they've just added the defiance characters to the list this week, but saladin has not been included to 0-12 yet, has he been confirmed?
Yes, she is. "Boarding Action" Sheskiin, not Heavy! Definitely no O-12 Saladin in Infinity barring an error on CB's part.
Interesting, I couldn't find her last night. Heavy is not part of the name, btw, it's an allusion to the fact that this version is heavy infantry.
Just figured you may have been looking for the wrong name! I'm pretty sure the lack of O-13 Saladman is intentional though, it's probably meant to be a strictly Defiance-only feature like the Megalodron.
Well, let's read too much into things, shall we? :) Spoiler: Dossiers There's two things that stand out with the Saladin dossier that's a bit different from most Defiance dossiers, the first being that he's got his Haqq unit symbol in place of where other units have Sectorials and the second is that his Haqq symbol has the yellow edge replaced with O-12 purplish blue. Most units, however, doesn't have a symbol there, however. Bostria also said in the video "it's happening in Infinity", which really could just be him calling the setting or flunking on calling the Kickstarter by name or the expansion by name, who knows. The other thing I note when I go through these is... Cathrine has Spitfire and Boarding Shotgun on her card and in Infinity she only got Combi. Maybe we shouldn't read too much into the weapons here.
ok then, it would be cool for 0-12 gimmick that most of their heros are muti-faction like him and Hipollyta
I was doubtful when it was announced and I remain doubtful now. I can see them waiting until the actual unit releases or take some more time to iron out the profile, or maybe even possibly nu-Saladin making it into an O-12 sectorial and vanilla Haqq
What makes me think this is a bit more than just Bostria boasting is how much emphasis he put into how he and a colleague had put a lot of effort and time into persuading Gutier to allow Saladin to join O-12, which kind of strikes me as a strangely high obstacle if it's only as an enemy character in a side project like Defiance.
