I already knew the mins from our internal chat, but I'd like to add a nice comment here too, because the minis are indeed worth more than one nicht comment.
First of all I'm blessed with a steady hand. But my eyes are not that good, so I have to use black magic (glasses in combination with a magnifying lamp). The other important thing is a dependable magic wand (Winsor & Newton Series 7 size 0) and a not bubbling potion (a good quality paint mixed to a perfect consistency). That's it.

Yeah, looks great, if kinda comic-book. Bright colors. Eyup! I'm hypersensitive to caffeine (to the extent of half-caf coffee and no caffeine at all after noon!), and a drink really helps settle the hands.

Just started looking at this thread and WOW!! Your color choices and painting skills are fantastic. I really enjoy it. I am a little jealous of how awesome your mini's are I mean I am really love the details and all the free hand. Do you preplan the freehand and colors or just decide mid way thru the painting process decide that your going to put a happy little pin strip?
Thank you, much appreciated. I always preplan the basic color scheme. But with some details I decide midway, or I apply some standards, e.g. belt-buckles etc. Sometimes I'm spontaneously experimenting with some mixes for highlights or shadings, what can change my plan a bit. And almost every time I made up a freehand on the fly I had to start it over. The first try of the tattoo of the Gang Buster got awful, and I had to paint the whole arm a second time. For freehands like that I search on the internet for inspirations or templates.
