This seems to be more of the target market for the Reinforcement packs, people that don't want to have the miniatures for Defiance but don't want to play that faction in Infinity.
Looking at the model, it is a Marksman Rifle, (not sure which variant), + Blitzen. I would bet heavily that not all the sculpts will be getting a general release, as I do not expect they will release 3 more Cadmus in different poses. I know there will be a Seed Soldier coming out January, but I would not expect 2 others, (at least not for some time). With the release of Beyond Wildfire, there are two general release Caliban, so I would not expect their will be additional Caliban releases, (again, at least not for some time). There will be general releases for the Heroes in different poses, and I would also expect a general release for Boarding Action Sheshkiin, O-12 Saladin, and the Lynx, as they do not have any other models. Maybe O-12 is worried that the EI has acquired squeaky toy technology.
I totally agree that there isn't much need to release options that are available right now, but the messaging has been pretty vague as to what do they mean when they say "we will release another version of the miniatures as regular Infinity release in 2020". At face value that is everything, which if accurate locks up a lot of the releases for the year and would mean that you can get a version of almost everything in the game as a mini (different sculpts of course) before you get your single wave shipment in late/fall 2020
Hey hey, the new unit-swapping chart in the latest update contained some interesting omissions. Namely, there still aren't any Heavy Infantry listed, and the Tik is standing alone in the TAG slot (as are the Rebots in the Remote slot). That, plus there's this exchange in the comments: Alberto: Una pregunta, como metemos el TAG PanO si no hay equivalente Shasvastii en el juego? O se sustituyen las cosas a lo loco? Belén Moreno: En la tabla de la última actualización puedes ver las diferentes conversiones qué se pueden hacer. En el caso del Core no hay TAG por lo que no se puede sustituir. Now my Spanish ain't great, but isn't she saying that because there's no TAG in the Core set, you can't substitute a TAG in there? And if so, that sure sounds like there's a TAG of some sort (we're all thinking Sphinx, right?) waiting for us down the line ....
That wouldn't hold up as the Human Sphere Reinforcements are for Outcast (that's where all the cards and tokens come from after all), not the main campaign.
True, but there's no TAG in Outcast either. There's the Gamma, but it's considered a Heavy Unit along with The Gwailo, et al. ... Fact remains that they've said you can swap like for like, and there's no "like" in either the Core or Outcast for a Tikbalang. This could also just be down to poor communication, but the utter absence of Heavy Infantry makes me think that there's just a lot we haven't seen yet.
Eh, the reinforcement packs are already set, so you'd think what swaps for what would have already been worked out ahead of time. But maybe I'm just overly optimistic!
For the record, I went to the comments and asked CB directly whether you can swap in the Tik (TAG) for the Gamma (HI), and just got this response: "From my understanding is that a TAG would only be able to replace another TAG, mainly for balancing the game. If you wanted the challenge to change in your home missions I don't see why not." So, you can make of that what you will. I shall remain optimistic.
These are the forums. Optimism is banned. Only hot takes, saltiness, and vinegar are allowed. The nice young men from MiniLuv will be along shortly and will escort you to your meeting in Room 101.
Now seriously ... after having watched this for a while ... I think Tohaa should get a hero (including a new useful army profile). I mean the Tohaa players were waiting for the whole year and are are still playing them, that's what I call dedication. And if it would be only for their great effort (and results) during the Asteroid Blues online campaign. So yes, I think CB should give them a hero. What's to loose from it? Nothing if you ask me. I doubt it would sell a single game less if a Tohaa would be inside, but maybe some games more. Just my 2 cents to support the Tohaa effort
I checked the chart to convert ennemy from one faction to another and it is still full of holes. Could we hope for more cards to complete it (kappa/fusilier/vanguard as light infantry...) ?
Wouldn't that be logical that big guy on 40 mm base = another big guy on a 40 mm base ? Character = character etc ... ?
It's funny because it's true. But yeah, I'm surprised there isn't one already. Preferably one with weird symbiote armor; I dunno if the game can handle someone on bigger than a 25mm base well, but a kiel-saan would be pretty neat. Three skill trees could be Guns, Drugs, and MEAT.
In the enemy list there are Charontid, Tikbalang, Xeodron, Rebot, Gamma, Kriza and Su Jian So I think the game can handle 40mm base
