I'd far rather they produce and deliver a product within the expected timeframe than promice too much with stretch goals and not deliver anything on time or worse still damage the company or brand. I mean one of CB's core principles has been steady and well managed growth. That's why they and the Infinity game are still around after all this time when so many others have disappeared (I'm looking at you Spartan Games).
In the comments on the Kickstarter page there is talk about how details for the expansion will be revealed over the weekend.
Yeah, I would wait for the weekend, I think after the weekend it is more preditable, how it turns out. But like some said, maybe there is another boost during the last few days. I'll just ignore the three nay-sayers that are talking to themselfes most of the previous page. Haters gonna hate. (While I really like me some hate, I'll spare it for more important things.)
Specifically: Yes, the expansions must be unlocked via stretch goals, this weekend we will give you more information about it. Which is not quite the same thing.
If they just opened the campaigns as add-ons without tying them to nebulous stretch goals they would make so much more money I want to give you my money CB, just take my dang money
I tend to agree. I'm not sure why they've placed the expansions so far out, myself. If their funding goal was indeed what they required to make the game a reality, then we're well past that point. And given the limits of the campaign in the base game, campaign expansions are more or less a no-brainer must-buy for anyone who wants to play the thing and not just get a Shas army. Make one available, and the spice will flow! But hey, it's their project--not mine--and so far it's done well, we'll see what happens. :-)
Where have they said that all the KS sculpts are exclusive? I keep seeing people say that but don't remember hearing it from CB anywhere
Now we need an alternate campaign where a brave EI team works together to bring those puny humans into cpmpliance to serve the greater goal.
And the flip side of that is that if you play SEF and don't want to buy defiance, you can still get a full range of miniatures for your faction.
My biggest complaint about the addons so far is that you get extra head/torso options for models but don't get a second set of legs. It's really annoying to be left with half of a model that you can't use.
The indications from CB staff in the comments are that they're looking at making the extra legs, etc., available as well. There appears to be quite a bit of demand for them. :-)
