Cadin is out

Interesting that he doesnt have the FTO notes like most of the other units we've seen.

 

If this is a 5th linkable Wulver, that's a pretty big deal.

Dual Wielding AP and T2 + NBW + Berserk is the skill combination I like the most, out of all the Defiance heroes so far.

If he counts as a Wulver for fireteams he's the best thing ever,35 points makes him an exact trade out for wallace, and even if fireteam duo is a little bit of a point tax most of the time since we'll want him in 5 strong wulver links, the option to run a core grey+volunteer alongside Cadin in a duo to keep him and his wingman from frenzy is there, plus its a lot easier to get two guys into CC than 3 or 5, and B2 PH15 AP+T2 auto hits critting on 11+ is not something I want happening to me...

 

you can crit at 8+ (CC23 +6 berserk +3 NBW)

 

I wonder....can you dual wield a Heavy Pistol and a Sword? cause that would give him AP/Shock/T2 to play around with in varying combos.

In my first reading of the rules I want to say no but I have concerns/doubts about my reading.

CC Weapons seem to be a clearly defined weapon type but then the CC Attack skill references CC Weapons as if they were any weapon with the CC Trait? But also as the specific CC Weapon Category?

 

yes, there is an specific cc weapon chart and pistols are not included

Also Shock is outright inferior to T2. AP+T2 is always the best choice.

 

That was my initial thinking but then the CC Attack skill is worded like this and it got me a little confused.

Which seems to equate CC Weapon and weapons with the CC Trait? But It still seems strange that way.

Of course given Colbrooks astute point that Shock really doesn't do much here moot point anyhow.

same, I am so excited at the idea of being able to link full core of wulvers without the liability of wallace in the link. If he can do that, ill be so happy. his actual stats which are excellent are less relevant than his ability to allow me to play a different CHA build.

Yeah, I'd comfortably put a dollar on Cadin being a core-linkable wulver.

I just realized he berserk at CC 32 PH 15 with AP+T2 damage. It's near-garanty one hit kill for most infinity miniature.

 

And if you give him the backup of a fireteam he'll be capable of deleting almost anything with near certainty...

 

The only downside of getting Wallace out of the Wulver core is the lack of Smoke...
