I enjoy playing Druze, but I'm annoyed by the options in the box. THE OLD DRUZE BOX: Combi + Shock CCW (Technically, not super useful, as only one model now has the CCW, but it's a nice model) D.E.P. Combi + Hacker (though the 'hacker' is pretty subtle) Combi + LGL Also, Spitfire The new box: HMG Marksman Rifle Hacker + Combi Chain-Colt (since every Druze Shock Troops has the Chain-Colt and/or Viral Pistol this model essentially has nothing) Cool looking special Hacker However, buying either one of these boxes really isn't enough to make most of the profiles! Let's assume you're buying only from the webstore , or buying models off the rack, or from your FLGS. Combi ✅ (Using Hacker or Limited Edition model) HMG ✅ Combi + D.E.P. HARIS LEADER ❌(technically you could use the old DBS model but he lacks D.E.P.) Combi + Panzerfaust ❌ Combi + LGL ❌ MULTI Sniper ✅(Although expensive, you can buy Jethro from the big OUTRAGE! pack) Shock Marksman ✅ Combi + Pitcher Hacker ✅( The official Hacker model has the pose, but no pitcher. Considering how powerful shooting repeaters can be, I was disappointed.) Paramedic ✔ (no visible MediKit but I guess you could use Chain-Colt and pretend he's got another gun) This isn't a huge deal, but the result is very frustrating for me. Using appropriate models adds to verismilitude, immersion, and ease of play since opponents don't have to constantly ask "what is that model?" Plus, for a small and cozy sectorial like Druze Bayram Security, it's nice to be able to "complete" the faction, owning most-to-all of the models you could use. Ah, but, to my frustration, I'll never really be able to use more than half of the profiles available for DBS unless I scour for the old box or buy a second for heavy converting. Petty? Yes. I know it's a bit petty. But it's quite a big peeve for me right now, and I just wanted to vent.
The Limited Druze isn't really a hacker, she doesn't have a visor, hacker hand, Hacking Device, or fancy backpack (Edit: or Pitcher), they just advertised her as a KHD because it was one of the new pieces of equipment with the book.
You're right. I guess she'd count as a hacker with a Pitcher, since she is kind of holding a magazine and her Combi Rifle has a pitcher. Will update my gripe.
If you want them to be, that's the great thing about Infinity, many models can work for many profiles.
Technically she's not WYSIWYG for the KHD profile either, because she just has a combi rifle, not a combi rifle+pitcher.
True, but I think that the Knife, like the Pistol, always ends up blending into the model since they're on every model and sculpted very similarly. So that's not a big deal. Wouldn't have access to HMG, Marksman, Panzerfaust, Sniper, or D.E.P. profiles, but I'd accept it. Sadly, I can't find the old box anywhere online.
Check out some of the UK websites, I know I've physically seen some in a shop in London recently, I will check over the weekend.
I play DBS with both boxes and some minor conversions. Just added a combi to the DEP mini to use it as the panzerfaust or the haris, a multi sniper rifle to the chain colt guy to use him as a sniper (actually I'm not playing this profile), and a medic gun to the old hacker.
