Historically, (or at least as far as I have been playing, so like 5 years), we have never known what was coming after December. This year they have been a bit more tight lipped regarding the release schedule, but a large part of that is how many tournaments they are providing exclusive release content for. It used to be 3-4 tournaments, with most of the information being a repeat of what was shown at Adepticon and GenCon, but even this would leave the months from January to April to be announced as pre-orders became available.
I wish CB would finish the last Oni Monkey loadouts that the sectorial has remaining. There is less than 10 loadouts at most. Plus those Zerat models need to be resculpted someday in the coming decade.
He means no new models recently. The last female Morat sculpt was the Rachio Pilot which is over a year old now. The Onzat was before the Rachio for around a year I believe. It makes me wonder why CB haven't shown any official artwork of a female Morat's face yet. They've had no problems with the males even with the species former N1-N2 design. I don't think it would be hard to produce a model or art piece that reveals the female's facial features in the current age of CB's computer sculpts.
@nehemiah Add to the fact that a new edition is literally right around the corner as well. The coming decade hopefully brings with it good things for us. But I wonder how far things can go the way they currently are? We are almost at the end of the major sectorials besides the future returning old sectorials. PanO & Yu Jing only have 1 new sectorial left and they are most likely going to be a new two player boxed set. Nomads seem to be done unless CB creates a new mothership or a Black Hand sectorial. Haqqislam just has the Khanate left as a possible sectoral. Ariadna might have one last sectorial in the works since Tartary isn't the mainland Kazak nation. Tohaa is up in the air until further notice. The Combined have two options with the Sygmaa Tohaa & an Ur+Aspect sectorial with could be presented in some future lore. NA-2/Mercs have just the White Company as they are the last of the 6 major/famous mentioned Merc sectorials in Infinity's lore not released yet. Then we have O-12 which allows for a fair amount of sectorials that CB can have for future use. Even with the "retired" sectorials/factions there is not that many for CB to put out of their hat. Makes me think we will see the Human Sphere expand someday into the outer yonder of space. It will open up the possibility for more room to expand since they're running out of room quickly due to the amount of sectorials they dumped on us. They can't become stagnate and expect the player base to remain healthy. Just because GW somehow survived their 10+ years of cryosleep shouldn't be an encouragement to do the same thing.
I meant no new ones. Maybe even unmasked! I have all of those. And yes, the Zerat could use a new sculpt.
They need new sculpts to keep with the rest of the Morat forces design update. I'm surprised CB hasn't done them yet. But with each new release means less units/loadouts in the sculpting que, I hope.
I think the White Company has evolved in the meantime in StarCo. There was a picture at the time of the first edition that presented the White Company. In the picture there was one character that did not match any of the profiles existing at that time. If I remember correctly, the answer to the question "who is this" was the "White Company leader - Mexican General". But that was a long time ago and I could remember something wrong.
The only info I about White Company that I've heard of is that they are on good terms with Aleph. So it might mean that there will be Aleph units with some nicer(?)/good standing Mercs as units? Like you I just remember a small tidbit from the past but if White Company does come out it will be interesting to see what they will actually bring to the tabletop.
There haven't really been many Morat sculpts in general since then though. What is it, the Raicho and the Rasyat? Raicho could kinda be seen as a female Morat release if the pilot is female (Morat regiments are segregated by gender, I seem to recall?)
I know, but placing all the released ones together helps get an eye on how many are there and what is needed (Zerat, essentially, specially the KHD). There are new Kurgat engineers, the "fixing with a knife" one, the Mk12 one (I think this is an old N2 sculpt) and the new Autocannon one. The Autocannon would be the one that was released after the Raicho pilot, I think.
Memory could be wrong but at least in the RPG, there's no mention of gender segregation among regiments. Female morats are just as strong and ferocious as males. It's more than women are especially talented at certain roles like Oznat and Zerat, but there's no indication that a male can't be in those regiments, I think. (Would be weird for the Zerat though as the word itself stands for "Female Morat")
Females are hunters, males are warriors. A hunter can hide and use tricks (mimetism, impersonation...), lay in ambush (infiltration), or guide lesser beasts into battle (Oznat). Even the TAG pilots have to hunt a great beast (and use part of the remains to decorate their TAG) as a graduation test.
CB don't need new sectorials (at least, not so much), there are lots of miniatures that can be resculpted and re-released. variations and so. There are still some n1 miniatures in the store, only in nomads we have the sputnik zonds, the szalamandra pilot, the clockmaker from the box and his zondfriends, the zero combi in the blister repack and the spectr hacker from the blister repack. And also some from n2 that were not fully revised, or left there but people ar waiting for them (be it because they have outdated/n1/beggining n2/undersized weapons, old/ugly sculpts, or half of the profiles were updated, and half were left there), and I am sure in other factions have similar problems
I'm going to be a little pedantic here but G: Servant didn't exist until Human Sphere, which was a year or two into N2.
