I am thinking about all camo list (sure except Taigas) and quite often when I am putting list together I just ends up with 3 or even more Seed soldiers. I know about their camo with S0, auto hatching in zoc, and some other stuff makes them quite special. So I wanted to ask you if you can share some tactics tips or interesting way to use them. Thanks a lot!
Coordinated order hatch + shoot with DEPs. It does require that they're deployed in elevated positions with a good view, and not prone, but if you get the chance it can be absolutely deadly.
Yeah. If you start them in the prone state, they hatch but remain S0, so won't be able to see stuff over cover, and wont benefit from surprise shot.
They are Size 2 when they hatch so deploy em' Prone... I'm Theory Crafting with them right now actually... They have Chest mines (x2) so if you puttem' in tricky spot you want to have covered they go Bang! Good for early area denial from what I'm getting... But I have yet to play them Edit: I think if you want them to remain hidden and use them as Deterrents Prone If you want them to Hatch n blast not prone
Seeds Soldiers are Forward Deployment Lvl-2 Troops so they Deploy 8" outside the DZ They're Limited Camo and in a Seed Embryo http://infinitythewiki.com/en/Forward_Deployment http://infinitythewiki.com/en/Camouflage_and_Hiding_(CH)#CH:_LEVEL_Y._LIMITED_CAMOUFLAGE http://wiki.infinitythegame.com/en/Seed-Embryo Also see Chest Mines this is only Active in Seed Embryo state once they hatch it goes away http://wiki.infinitythegame.com/en/Chest_Mines
No all Airborne can't go on the board prone. The Cadmus is technically not prone either. He just happens to be Size 0.
Well, it is confusing since Cadmus were brought up in a Seed Soldier thread. But they do share the rules for seed embryos. I can’t remember who, but it was mentioned in another thread about putting prone marker next to the SS camo marker. But really it’s not “Prone”. It’s just size 0. And if you say that, it gives it away that it’s a Seed Soldier. Which kind of ruins the point of the camo to me. I belive you do get Surprise Shot, since Hatch is a Short Movement Skill.
It is specified in the seed-embryo rules that you can perform a Surprise Shot as part of the Hatch short Order.
http://infinitythewiki.com/en/Surprise_Shot The user of this Special Skill must be in a Marker state (Camouflaged, TO, Impersonation-1...) or in the Hidden Deployment state at the time when he receives an Order and activates. Emphasis mine, it doesn't matter what orders were declared or in what order, as long as the trooper starts their order in a marker state they get Surprise Shot/Attack.
