Naaah, I don't see what are we supposed to hate here. Well, that would be pretty interesting story, don't you think? Being torn between duty to the state and to the heritage, moral choices, dealing with people around who got suddenly too excited about your persona... Isn't it great? The real challenge in all that is to make people accept that these a-holes that -6 every your roll are still alive even when they are finally critted. Definitely not something for a beginner :D
Almost the same? Except for the backpack (and maybe shoulder pads), what parts are similar to a tiger soldier? It has more in common with the Zuyong but there are large differences there to, mainly chest and helmet. I'll grant you that many Infinity models look alike to the untrained eye, but seeing as we're all invested players we should be able to discern the differences.
... perhaps CB's Directors took one look at the gigantic butt flaps on their latest release and shouted in unison "Whoa! Enough with the improvisation! Back to Crusaders and Tigers as the basis for future AD troops. And have that sculptor thrown into the production room. He can reflect on his design decisions whilst cutting sprues for a couple of thousand models!"* * the production room is sort of like the Pit of Sarlacc, but in Galicia, and you do get generous lunch breaks
Today is my 30th birthday, dear CB, I'd like to have the new YJ sectorial army xD xD Anyway, this new event is amazing, it was just a matter of time, Japan cannot be submitted to the Jade Empire, it's a fiery nation.
I agree. It definitely looks like new HI drop trooper wearing new Shang Ji class armor, which is the lightest mass produced armor (makes sense for a drop troop)
This is what I'm thinking as well. If it turns out this is what's happening I expect more splintering as more sectorials/non-aligned are released. Perhaps CB has this idea of no more than three sectorials for a faction.
Okey nipons are breaking yu jing chains, but we saw a second image full of old Pano knights with the same enought. There will be a new related to pano mercenari sectorial?
The merovingian are the more "union friendly" with the kazak, so, in Ariadna, insurection would come from CHA or USAriadna. More likely CHA because they likely have the strongest "money base" with their teseum production. I can imagine Panoc or Yu-jing pushing them to revolt so they can take over the teseum deposit. Regarding Panoc, I don't think the military order would have any interest to break free from Panoc as the church is one of the major panoceanian power but I can imagine some surviving templars coming back fora vengeance as an independant secto, using a massive amount of REM (as they were supposed to be IA specialist, maybe daikini of their own), some knight, some mercenary and McMurrough (calling some old debt or something similar). Maybe with some Bakunin troop as I imagine the surviving templar hidden in their own bakunin module.
Wasn't PanO-flavoured "Enough" post something only posted non-officially by some random people? I am sorry, I'm not on FB so I wouldn't know, but I've heard such things ITT.
I guess you're right. Like with Shang Ji and Zu Yong, they should look somewhat the same as one is only an elite version of the other. So maybe there is hope for an HI drop trooper.
Yes, the PanO "Enough" was a fan response and has not been posted by CB (yet anyway!). As for Ariadna, if indeed CB want to keep sectorials to three max, I'd say the one with least integration of models. Of course, fluff would definitely play a factor, but I can't help thinking that the one with the fewest crossover models and/or the fewest that show up in vanilla armies might be a good choice to split. For example, when I first thought about JSA splitting from Yu Jing, I was concerned about what to with all the Japanese troops I field in vanilla, but then I remembered that the ninja is pretty much the only one I take with any regularity. If other Yu Jing players make similar lists the separation shock might not be much of a shock at all, apart from the story changes. Besides, I imagine ISS will still have access to the ninja. ;)
"A-holes that -6 your rolls and are still alive when you crit em" You nailed it ! explained perfectly :D No need for more.
Couldn't agree more! It was my favourite HI in terms of looks back in N2, and it has languished since then. Making it into a drop troop might be the way to make it stand out among its peers.
Shang Ji's in Zuyong fire teams would be cool, or even Yan Huo's? That way u can have hacking and more weapon options with fire team bonus? And get some hacking and lt flamers in
I suppose this is a good time to point out the rumoured Liu Xing troop for invincible army that got mentioned a while ago. I hope that means tigers are going back to hwhite banner where they belong. On the other hand, why feature a Zhanshi so prominently in anything related to a new sectorial, especially invincible army (other than the fact that she is way cute).
I think more interesting than the JSA just splitting off is the JSA splitting in half, for a variety of reasons. The Kempetei finally starting to kick off fully and organise strikes against StateEmpire targets perhaps?
