Resculpts that--from everything I've heard/read--went over about as well as the terrible movie they were based on. Was SS a success in Spain or something? Because between Knight Models and the Morlock resculpts, there are now not one, but two, tabletop mini tributes to that steaming pile, both from Spanish companies.

Anyway, I won't lie, I'm real salty about not getting that new Croc hacker. But I seem to be in a minority, so, y'know, life goes on!

You mean like a BS 16/17 TAG ?? hahahahahaha
Why not ? its more probable than full-auto (sadly)

Don´t ask for a re-sculpt, just dont buy them and use some Dactylos instead, they even have the hexagons to paint the TO camo

@MPGA: I'm just not going to pick up Varuna until I get my sexy Croc baby. Just gonna play with my artichokes instead. :-)

    *sighs*
This topic has just reminded me that the Hospitaller Knights box is the first PanOceania unit I'll be buying in months.

    If I buy them...

A BS 16/17 TAG wouldn't even be game breaking, depending on what weapon it has. I mean, Aleph has a sniper that always shoots you on 17s anyway.

BS is the most mitigatable stat in the game, and one of the most expensive to gain points in. In FTF having +3 BS is comparable to inflicting a -3 on your opponent, but one of those costs the earth and the other is spammed on what feels like every profile in some armies.

I'm hoping for a "Carrier TAG" unit, a big central Trooper surrounded by Auxbots and TinBots.
Something around about 80 points with two loadouts.
    MOV 6-4, CC 16, BS 13, PHY 15, WIP 12, ARM 6, BTS 6, STR 3, S 6.
    G:Rem Presence, ECM
    Loadout 1: Feuerbach, TinBot E, 2xAuxbot_1
    Loadout 2: Spitfire, TinBot B, 2xAuxbot_2

In either case, the Crabbot is not a Specialist Operative, but an Engineer instead (to keep those mighty Auxbots ticking!).

I'm still hoping the Echo Bravos, Helots and ORC character will be the source of some new and interesting stuff for us. Given that this is the Sectorial with generic TO Camo Infiltrator, Mimetism BS13, and TO Camo TAG, I get the sense that Varuna will be more about driving nails than versatility. But given the power of the other Sectorials being released this year, CB might give us some things we haven't seen before.

What about Aleph support? The Dactyl might be a unique fit, totally breaking the bad support unit curse of PanO! :D

I was kind of hoping we'd get Agema or Atalanta, just to give us an MSV2 option that didn't involve PanO getting yet another MSV Sniper.

That being said, we did get another MSV2 sniper, so maybe ALEPH will show up in other ways. I haven't heard anything rumor-related about ALEPH on Varuna actually, which surprises me a bit. I doubt Crocmen would get a Killer Hacker profile, because I can't imagine CB wanting Vanilla PanO to have that. So, I wouldn't mind an AVA1 Dasyu, just to give us a possible Killer Hacker.

Andromeda seems a bit mandatory for a naval oriented force.
Maybe Atalanta too since the mythic one took part of the Argonauts.
Maybe KHD option will be covered by Echo Bravo or the ORC character. Or we could get none like MO.
Don't think we will get Dactyls. Any PanO sectorial get anything but machinist for Engineer role.

Woulsnt actually Black Friars fit that role as anti infiltration/insurgence unit (deployed to counter Helots and possible Yu-Jing involvement) ?

I'm aware. But it's AVA1 in Vanilla, doesn't infiltrate, and we're probably not going to get it in Varuna.

Those kinds of limitations on a unit like a KHD aren't accidental.

And I liked the idea of Atalanta because having her clandestinely killing people on Varuna, PanO's Paradise, is a pretty good fluff contrast. Noone wants to die on vacation :D

On the one hand, I agree it is unlikely we’ll see a Croc KHD, at least not one that is shared with Vanilla PanO. On the other hand they may have no included it in HSN3 as Crocmen were not being reworked in that book so didn’t need any new profiles.
I’d love a Croc KHD though, it would work well with an ORC link to mitigate the hacking threat to them.

Well, there is precedent for sectorials getting profiles unavailable in vanilla, though admittedly it's been skills rather than equipment that differ.

The more I think about it, the more I want to see a TAG G:Sync'd unit in the form of a swarm of REMs and bots around a central piece. It seems very "PanO" and builds on the Peacemaker archetype, but maybe having the close range version pack very little in the way of weaponry (Heavy Shotgun or even a Combi as its sole weapon) and rely heavily on its Auxbots to get its work done.
