Easier! Let's take the aleph route, light infantry, nwi, shock inmune and arm3! It already exists and covers all our needs
Yeah pretty much. We could also extend it to the mowang and the lu-duan who both are very good battering ram. If I could throw my zhenchas at mine I'd start all my lists with 2 of them, no question asked. Meh. I mean it could be fun, and I'm not a fan of the liu xing (same reason than @Mahtamori he isn't reliable enough), however I like the price range where he is currently sitting at as it makes him affordable for a list based on a zuyong team.
OK, that is a very interesting idea! Well, part of the point of kicking the LX up to 60ish points was that Tigers would be a part of the Invincible Army if you wanted a cheaper-but-still-(really)-good AD troop, or you could stick an LX in there to really beatstick someone. It'd be a choice between Liu Xing or Hac Tao or Mowang or Yan Huo. And ideally, you could have the same list with either Hac Tao or Liu Xing.
You can already sort of do that. GROUP 1 2 LIÚ XĪNG Boarding Shotgun / Pistol, CC Weapon. (0 | 32) LIÚ XĪNG Hacker (Assault Hacking Device) Boarding Shotgun / Pistol, CC Weapon. (0.5 | 38) GROUP 2 1 HAC TAO Hacker (Assault Hacking Device) MULTI Rifle, Nanopulser / Pistol, DA CCW. (0.5 | 70) ───────────────────────────────────────────────── GROUP 1 2 LIÚ XĪNG Boarding Shotgun / Pistol, CC Weapon. (0 | 32) LIÚ XĪNG Boarding Shotgun / Pistol, CC Weapon. (0 | 32) GROUP 2 1 HAC TAO MULTI Rifle, Nanopulser / Pistol, DA CCW. (0 | 64)
True enough on the face, but the idea was that you could have 9 models on the table and have either a Liu Xing or a Hac Tao off-table. I mostly think in terms of single combat groups, your examples are something I'd expect to see in a two-group list.
have you ever considered doing a 9 + X group? Where you have a main group of 9 and then 1-3 supporting off table tools in a second order group? then you shunt your preferred scalpel of choice into your main order group on the first turn of each game? Then reload and repeat as needed?
Or like a one-shot Smoke or Nimbus Zone. As he lands it kicks up dust and debris that obscures vision.
It'd be cool if it auto-tossed a smoke grenade upon landing to it actually had a FtF roll if it got shot where it showed up.
I wish I could find it, but there's an anime where a character does a combat jump to land in gel, that that was shot down just before it landed, then disappears after a few seconds.
