Does anyone know the release order for Shasvastii. At what point do people think we'll be able to play them with new sculpts and no proxies. So far we know: Jayth & Taigha will be released with Definance, Hopefully they will also be available separately for infinity. We've seen new digital art for new Messer & Swanson. I'm assuming released with defiance. Drawing of the new Sphinx has been posted. So it probably in the next 3-4 months I'm not sure if\when Hatail Aelis Keesan will be resculpted because his old sculpt is still available in the dire foes box. I'm assuming the Med-tech, Remotes & Batroids are being left as is. That still leaves no news on: Seedsoldiers Haiduks Noctifiers Tensho Corax Hasht Malignos Does anyone know something I don't. I was able to get the old seedsoldier & notcifiers from a discount bin, but hoping to play a full game with only new models. The old ones are very dated in comparison.
Malignos BSG is coming with the Beyond Wildfire box, concept is definitely out there and I think a render too.
Hatail Aelis Keesan is a Tohaa character :D I don't think Hasht will see a release because he's in the Dire foes box. However, there will be a Malignos in Beyond Wildfire. And we're definetely seeing Jayth and Taigha released out of Defiance. Messer and Aida will probably get blisters as well. I actually like the old Malignos and especially the old noctifer. Old calibans were badass too. The new ones are all great, but in this case I will keep using my old models with the new ones.
does anyone know why the defiance Nox have facemasks compared to the infinity NOX. Is it a piece of the defiance story line.
Adding the bigger images. I love the new Shasvsastii but there’s been something nagging at the back of my brain. Like something was wrong and I couldn’t put my finger on it. I’ve now realized that their guns look do not go well with the rest of them!. The Shas are very rounded and organic looking. The the guns are very boxy and angles. Their old guns used to also be rounded and organic. I really like that about them. Now they look like high-tech human weapons.
They are a bit Human looking, but I like them a lot more that the old weapons. After painting a couple of the old models I prefer the newer weapons. I think its was also a way of making them more identifiable
The only problem I have with so many Caliban models is I honestly don't see myself using max AVA calibans. That being said, having four of them isn't as bad. I never use max AVA Suryats and I have four of them anyways.
Don’t know if this is news or not apparently the Combined Army paint set is being released in November. I believe it will be shavastii related since I asked Angel the recipe for the darker red on the new shavastii paint scheme and he told me the paint set will be out in November.
So far we've seen four sculpts, and those four sculpts cover pretty much the entire range of Caliban profiles (2 with Spitfire, 2 with SMG (x2), 3 with Boarding Shotgun), and I think CB have identified that the SMG profiles are the ones most likely to be taken in multiples, hence multiple sculpts of those options.
I remain optimistic that Defiance will be treated as a separate product and you won’t “need” to buy the board game in order to be able to play particular units in the minis wargame.
They've been saying, in Q&As and such, that Defiance sculpts will be different from Infinity sculpts, so there's value in buying both versions if people really want to. Certainly implies nothing will be Defiance exclusive, even if the KS versions come out first.
I was hoping and expecting that. I saw a photo of the Defiance Speculos killer, and it fairly bland, and not in a very dynamic position. The infinity version is much more interesting.
I find the opened jaws quite interesting and love the new design concept. But to be honest I really prefer the Defiance Speculo and am very glad that this alternative scuplt is a thing. The pose may be bland but the pose of the Infinity Speculo is just very unnatural and unconvincing. It just seems off somehow. Too many unaligned vectors / dynamics. Dynamic but in a realistic way would be fine though.
I agree. I much prefer the simpler one. I usually like dynamic poses but this mouth one just seems “off”.
