White Noise also helps you get into the Kamau's +0 range, especially if you have a handy midfield G: Sync repeater REM to use it through. Edit, come to think of it, can the Delta land in a WN zone? It's not classified as a ZVZ for them.
Oh yeah, forgot to mention that. You do need to break the link first. Linked MSV 2 snipers are really hard to deal with.
speaking of the Gamma, anyone have issues fitting the top and backpack on properly..? Getting huge gaps over the shoulders that seem to be a fitting problem that would need bending or something...
Little bending for me and he was good. I was a little confused at first because it looked like he had these large gaps and places with no detail before I realized it was a mistake
The AD Rules specifically call out Low Vis and Zero Vis zones so I assume since the Delta doesn't have a visor you're fine to land in it.
tried bending it, only ended up ruining some details instead... Think I lack the proper tools for such a hefty piece... Oh well, went with the milliput solution.. waiting on it to cure before I glue and add some more to finish it up, likely won't be too noticeable... Geez though, I always seem to have fitting issues with any model that has more than socket-a to socket-b pieces.. think CB might want to refine or rethink their large model pieces >.>
Just lost a feuerbach Gamma on my active turn against a Heavy Rocket Launcher ARO... ... Yeah, I am still firmly in the camp that it is a ok unit that has its uses, but I feel like I could be using something better for that price.
Having run both the Gamma Feurbach and the Omega FO recently in a tournament, i'd like to chime in. My Gamma will happily face a TAG in ARO, and heavy armour goes out of it's way to avoid being attacked by it (especially in the Gamma's active turn). Many heavy TAGs will laugh at the Omega HMG trying that sort of stuff. The Omega FO with it's multirifle, heavy riotstopper and flash pulse (and therefore ability to complete many of the classifieds in the deck) was a fantastic go-getter, and that's something I feel the army misses out on A LOT if people just relegate the Omega to HMG duty. tl;dr - Gamma for killing shit, Omega for doing shit.
Not my first choice for dealing with a Helot if you can help it, but that is what makes rocket launchers good after all lol.
Helots can be troublesome for O-12 – especially something like the Gamma where he just has to rely on a better BS to win the FtF. Smoke and Epsilon is the best way to fight them – as it is most things. But Helots are especially weak to it, chances are you can force the easy -12 between smoke, mimetism, cover and range, since most of their guns cap out at 24 inches. I've been experimenting with the Gamma Feuerbach more recently – I need a good piece that doesn't bring an HMG to the table. Last night he got utterly fried by an Overdron HRL.
A slightly different but related topic, how doable and fitting do you think it is to appropriate the arms from an Az'rail to create a Gamma HMG? The very basic design of Az'rail arms seem fairly similar to a Gamma, though a Yan Huo is probably the closest fit.
I think it would fit pretty well. The biggest problem with it would probably be the shape of the gun. Looks alot chunkier/old fashioned than the rest of the O-12 weapons. I'm wondering if the Al Fassid HMG might be because just because of his much more cut down it is.
I might end up doing such a conversion with the Red Veil Al Fasid once I am done paining the O12 minis I already build. I can post pics once I do it, but that might take a while
Hmm, Al'fasid HMG is harder to get a hold of and is missing the shield plate on the forearm that Yan Huo, Az'rail, and Gamma have.
No they didn't. The removed the Drop Zone, but not the restrictions on landing in ZVZ or in contact with scenery. That said, White Noise is a ZVZ for MSV units only.
The rules for AD only state that you cannot place the Drop Zone in contact with a ZvZ or LvZ. If there's no Drop Zone, no restriction.
