Bill is coming to USARF, and I believe Bostria said he might have Fireteam options, not 100% sure if that was for USARF, FoCo, or the others. USARF will also get a "tweak" when Bill's profile lands, no details or date given, but I'm guessing around September when Season 11 begins.
I'm really hoping for wildcard Unknown Ranger, maybe a haris for the minutemen. Bill will likely be a solo piece but other mercs like him have gotten link options. (His dossier had a marksman rifle so I'm wondering if maybe he'll have one in one of the sectorals) Considering it's just a tweak and not and overhaul. I'm not expecting any Skill or Equipment changes to really happen.
Bill is awesome. As a Ramah player I'm going to fight with the local USARF player for the right to field him, because THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE. And I hope that Ranger would finally get the ability to join fireteams. Poor fella feels left out, scared and alone all the time with all those crazy super-jumping Haqqislam savages, alien Haris of TAGS and insanely lucky space monkeys...
From what was said in the other threads it's a fairly decent quality of life update, wildcard, mixed links and stuff coming in. September was what was mentioned. Bill's profile goes live in sept and is supposed to have link options in us as well as his na2 factions
@csjarrat which thread? I've been looking around for it and I can't find any news on the update. The thread mostly rumormonging or solid info? I can see Usariadna being brought up to the modern standard of sectoral with very little polish needed.
Most info is from the Gen Con and Interplanetario seminars. The update will come with the new ITS Season, so early September, and Bostria specifically mentioned Fireteam updates and character(s) becoming Wildcard(s). Not much more than that though. Personally I'm hoping for Minutemen in Grunt links, and Rosie, Bill, and the UKR being Wildcards. If the UKR CoC could get a proper gun, even an AP Rifle, that would also be nice.
Here's hoping. The US have a good flavor and mechanical variety vs Ariadna. Slower, burnier and thicker. It's just a few profiles are a tad lackluster means they get overshadowed hard by their rock solid bread and butter.
Yeah minuteman in grunts is basically on par for recent design of ariadna (moblot in metro, grey in volunteer, vet in lines etc) so that's a good shout
Question is would UKR get good use of a full link? He seems awfully pricey for a molotok and mememitism for a 5 man. Most of his skills want you down the throat of the enemy. Unless the coc one gets cheaper? On the other hand, who would you want to duo/Harris him with to push him up the field? The slow move speed of the stars and bars make UKR delivery a bit odd. Maybe if minutemen got something extra? 4-4 movement, dual flamethrowers, I feel like they want to be aggressive. Then again I am the guy that swears the shotgun/grenade loadout is a hidden gem in the sectoral.
I guess he would get some benefit. He adds value to the link and the link adds value to him. It's not cheap but could be an option. Assuming he'll get a tweak with the update though so might see more light of day afterwards
Can we get a Rosie deletion and replace it with something that doesn't suck in terms of both fluff and model? It's hysterical how "omg, totes not Captain America" that The Unknown Ranger is yet they wussed out on having a Bucky/Widow analogue, instead opting for some stupid "IT'S ROSIE THE RIVETER IN SPACE! SHE KNOWS BRIDGES CUZ RIVETER!" nonsense.
Genuine wishlisting though: -UKR doesn't get put into links. Instead, just make him a solo beast. Also would have been a great place for some sort of 'inspiring' thing for USARF. -Mine fucking Dispensers on Blackjacks. They're supposed to be the anchors of USARF battlelines or the breachers, the sniper would be perfect for a Mine Dispenser. -Give the Heavy Shotgun Devil Dog a frigging Heavy Pistol. You're never going to give us a Chain Rifle model, just make it so the Army Pack one can do double duty. -Marauder Sniper gets Ambush Camo. Stupid Spetsnaz can do it, why the hell can't the Marauders? -Sapper option for Blackjacks. Woefully underutilized skill, fits their fluff. -Delete Desperadoes, Wild Bill, and Hardcases from USARF. Throw them wherever the fuck you want in NA2, just not here.
My wishlist that will never happen is that Ohio get Automedikits and x-visors. The minis support both of those pieces of gear, but more importantly, it makes them a very interesting pseudo-HI choice. It lets them operate more independently, and more like a pseudo-HI. The X-visor would only be a big boost the rifle and shotgun profiles, since the AP rifle already has it. On the table they would be viable as solo pieces, able to advance up the table while patching themselves up should they lose any firefights. Otherwise I think the army is fine. :P
