Most if not all close combat skills require you to be facing an 'enemy.' I'm wondering do scenery items like a door or antenna count as enemies or does this need to be a profile in the opponents force. Thinking for missions like the grid or looting and sabotaging.
Consider how there is a mission where the only way to score points is to melee a scenery item with AntiMaterial weapons to death... So we can assume yeah, CC can be used against those. And Ajax is certainly a beast (he will roll at 37 I think it was... with Phis 16 and EXP hammer XD)
If I remember in a previous post though an antenna couldn't be put into a targeted because it wasn't a "trooper." The wording to this would be different but I still think there is ambiguity as what is defined as an "enemy." I'm not particularly invested in any interpretation but would like some clarification. As for looting and sabotaging I think that may be part of the game design. You're able to loot D-charges out of the panoplies which makes it more attractive for high CC units to do so. The "looting" OP is only worth 1 overall so it wouldn't surprise me if it was an intentional game design to force people to loot rather than rely on martial arts. Again the wording is somewhat ambiguous.
It has been answered in one of the ITS threads that you can use CC skills such as Martial Arts against relevant scenery items with stat profiles. http://infinitytheforums.com/forum/...questions-1-unanswered/?page=8#comment-969500
