If HI becomes sufficiently cheap that IA can field a "Tohaa" force (3-man Core and a Haris) of HI at the same time as sufficient support elements (read: more than one Louie/Zhencha and a doctor+engi couple) in the same list - edit: comfortably - it might fix itself, otherwise I think they need to look specifically at IA's design which I don't think will happen in a few years regardless of what ITS stats will say.
Do you guys think that an LGL option for the Zuyongs would make that concentration of force a bit more of an asset and less of a liability? Linked HI spec fire machines solve a host of problems well, including Muttawiah, hackers, deployables, etc. I absolutely love them. Seems like a key piece that would -need- to be faction-exclusive as well to avoid making Dashat even more uber.
It would make available a tool that makes it possible to address most of the sectorial's heavy skews/deadlock situations. (It'd still be stupidly weak to first turn assassination vs key models)
Perhaps we can all agree to corner Bostria at all possible events and float this idea, preferably while handing him a beverage? And how would you deal with the assassination issue? A Minelayer unit maybe, perhaps one of the Haidao?
If we got a grenade launcher or two? Suck it up and soak the loss. If I had to choose between the GLs or fixing the Rambo issue? Probably CrazyKoala on the (in my opinion useless) Haidao Combi profiles instead of the D-Charges and the Hulang. I don't think both issues need nor should be fixed. Also Koalas och MadTraps because IA isn't a police organization and should prefer explosives over stun/glue.
Will do. I'm a frequent user of Spec Fire, most players underrate it. Obvious Lts, annoying stuff like Mutts, and doctors are the usual targets.
And Zhencha + Zhanshi LGL really helps, if you can't frag something with SMG, FO and watch it getting bombarded.
My problem with the Zhanshi LGL (besides it costing a lot of SWC) is that it needs to get close and neither Zhanshi nor a Core works well with that sort of order expenditure. Almost any other unit in IA with a wound characteristic will more naturally get as close as you need to, because that's where they need to go.
Yes, the Wu Ming MultiLGL is one of my favorite pieces. A Zuyong LGL, even if it's just a combi+LGL, would be great. And it'd be even better if it had both frag and Smoke or Eclipse grenades available to it. Yeah, but I bet Asshat would still get it about 2 months after IA got it. Just like how Asshat got the TacWare profiles added a month or two after release.
Seriously doubt that we'll get either in Invincible Army, seems to be an intentional Achilles heel there. Well, the LGL thing probably won't happen unless somebody gets a chance to talk to the devs about it. Perhaps mentioning in the same breath how unbalancing it would be for Dashat to get that too would be worthwhile. Probably better not to try to push for extra goodies like smoke that are pretty clearly intentionally excluded.
Is it just mean or is VIRD weak against Camo? Sure they have those Kamau MSV2. But after you get rid of them (tall order to be sure) they dont have a lot left to deal with markers.
Yeah... VIRD is probably the best equipped faction for dealing with Camo. Better than ISS, even. Also shouldn't underestimate what Helots do to the mix
I missed these guys I guess. I thought all they had were the REMS. Im looking at the profile of the Helot. Is it the neruocinetics that are an issue for camo/markers?
