If you missed it, in the seminar today (yesterday? I'm literally on the opposite side of the world from CB) a new 300 point pack was announced for November release, with no other details. Haaq and Ariadna are the only factions to have never received a 300 point pack, but Ariadna had received a battle pack. On the other hand, Tohaa players were reassured their army was very important to CB, or could CB be bringing back a retired army already? Commence baseless speculation!
So the question is the pack going to be a uniquely na2 faction like the druze or a replacement for the JSA box. Or one of the combo factions.
JSA is an Army box, not a 300pt box, separate categories. 300pt boxes are collections of existing miniatures, usually sold at a discount. FoCo could be an option with the metal Soldiers of Fortune coming out.
I hope its a NA2 sectorial consisting only of models that everyone in the forums complains about (whether rightly or wrongly) as being trash in the game. So you know... a mix of MO and Yu Jing with a few Yadu thrown in for good measure...
Shame it's not an army pack instead, Druze could really benefit from that. If it's a NA2, I'm thinking Foreign Company. With the weirdest, most ass-backwards combination of stuff imaginable.
Could be, would keep the SKU nice and tidy. I'd expect them to get a quality of life update if that were the case though. Spiral don't fit the bill as they've just had a new box which has a couple hundred points in it, same with JSA. Foreign would be odd as the main components would still need to be separate for parent factions, wouldn't help with SKU really. Same with dashat and ikari. I'm really surprised it's not shas. The amount of work they're doing for their relaunch and defiance would make perfect sense to bang it all in a 300pt box so they're a really low SKU force
It will be Foreign Co. Same thing happened to MO when the new Hospitallers and Joan released. With the new box set for Hannibal and friends, I am 90% sure it will be them.
Frankly, it's disgusting that they haven't just bit the bullet and made a Druze/Ikari Company Army Pack. There's enough profiles for the Druze Shock Teams alone to justify a second box of the blighters.
MO was a bit of a different story, what with their faction being PanO. Foreign Company is just a soup list, for all intents and purposes.
Gah, I hope not!!! You mean you didn't manage to buy the old Druze box? They mix well enough with the new ones. Personally, I'm kinda leaning towards Foreign Company.
I think it will be foreign company with the metal SoF guys. If I was wish listing I'd want a druze box with new druze sculpts for regular non swc druze.
People shouldn't have to buy the shoddy old box. :) Said before, will say again: I've written up lists and posted them here for what could be a great basis for a Druze/Ikari Company "Army Pack". Frankly, it would have been a better sell for the Coldfront pack than Aleph was too. They have to dump Bolt boxes somewhere, so yeah...
