I know some people that ordered off the CB store has started getting them already. Last year Cold Front showed up at LGSs mid month so I hope that happens again this year.
Well, Wildfire came today. I haven't dug through the main box, but in the Advance pack all three models are two parts.
Hmmm... mine arrived today. I was expecting A! cards for the alt. Hippolyta, but it only contains Defiance cards for the exclusive combined army figure... Is mine just missing the cards?
There were no alternate Hippolyta cards, this is the first I've heard of them. Limited edition Valkyrie does came with alt art Aristeia! and Defiance cards.
Oh, really? That is very disappointing given she was marketed as an alt miniature (doubly so given that another model in the box has Defiance cards... )
Dart came with A! cards too... but was "the extra for preorder", like a Skin. It seems like Hyppolita, being an extra model like the Ratnik, Father Knight, or Ninja of previous Operations, is not considered an A! Skin, thus not coming with the card
Yeah. I just double checked the ad copy for the bundle: https://store.corvusbelli.com/wargames/infinity/miniatures/infinity-gen-con-2019-bundle It specifically says: "includes the exclusive miniature of Hippolyta, fully compatible with Aristeia!"... which clearly a figure without any cards isn't, except in the very broadest sense.
Well, the figure is compatible with Aristeia, but has no rules available... However, in the manager https://manager.aristeiathegame.com/ you can see the card and the four supporting cards for Hippolita, so I'd say there is no need to get Hyppolita's expansion for A! if you want to play her... print the cards, and use as a base those of other language of another Aristo
Sure, though by that rationale *any* miniature is "fully compatible" with A! - so at best the statement can be considered a "nothing marketing statement", and at worst actively misleading to A! players, who would rightly assume (as I did) that any "fully compatible" alt miniature would include cards - as all the other miniatures marketed as A! alt minis have to date...
As I mentioned, you have the card and the 4 actions in the Aristeia Manager... And at least in the ITS document it states you are allowed to use any CB miniature as proxy, so... I see little reason for that not being true for A! as well :p
Note that you would still need to get the expansion for the tactics cards as skins/exclusives only come with an alternate character card and initiative card.
Yep, she's literally the same as the CSU in icestorm. You even get a token, i guess for those wildfires that won't come with her model.
I’m pretty sure Dart came with an Ariesta card when I got it at GenCon (note that it was just variant the Dart card, not the rest of Darts cards) for that bundle. So if there isn’t a Hippolyta card with the model in the Wildfire bundle, I’d file a mispack claim with CB asking for the missing card.
