I second that sentiment. IMO The rules interactions just weren't considered, but then I've never been a fan of crits in a dice game is just a little too much random. I think the crit system works fine in CC (a ninja should totally have a 1/4 chance of murdering a dude outright, but I will gun them down after) but not so much with BS attacks, and 5 goes at a 1 in 10 murder roll is a little silly.
Highly intelligent angry people. Not that I would suggest we have any of those around here. (Edited at the very reasonable suggestion of Mahtamori, who is highly intelligent.)
No body likes being the butt of a joke or being laugged at, let alone having an unknown nobody diagnose their psychological condition. Pure fucking disgraceful bullying behaviour. @psychoticstorm this is in dire need of moderation
Realistically, I should (and I expect will) stop the silly response train. These threads serve a valid purpose as quarantine zones to keep the rest of the forums from being a year worth of disparate wishlist and suggestion/petition threads, so it's in line with my own stated desires to avoid shitting them up and let them serve their purpose. But I seriously gotta recommend just googling happy gifs if you find discussion getting you down. I am totally open to being responded to with in kind on this.
This made me chuckle a little since I'm not sure if you're aware you're addressing someone who had 10 straight major victories in two consecutive 70-100 person Satellites with two different factions. I'm sure it's possible to surpass his understanding of Infinity (and I disagree with him on a number of things too) but 'Dahshat too good plz nerf' probably doesn't do it ;)
Nine majors and a minor. Jason B's Varuna and in particular one hero fugazi kept me at bay at CanCon. :) But there's a lot of very good players here. I understand Hecaton and Zewrath are both at Interplanetario this year via different qualifying paths.
It's not Dashat's potency that's offensive (there are other factions that trump it in that regard, and while they certainly need to have their imbalance addressed, it's not enough to consider those factions abominable), it's its design. While that potency may play a part, it's entire design being some of the absolute worst of order spam combined with unashamed lifting of optimized profiles in a soulless combination of min/maxed emptiness. Particularly in a fashion that spits on Invincible Army.
Very much agree with this. Dashat was OK before CB added the TacWare profiles to it. Probably not top-tier competitive, but pretty solidly mid-tier. With the added TacWare profiles Dashat shits all over IA's primary concept of 'lots of orders in a small number of models'.
Removing the TA profiles from Dashat would go a long way. Taking the Rui Shi out of the fireteam would go the rest of it.
I don’t actually think the 5-man Rui Shi is that criminal, especially when you consider how unwieldy it is to move around, I’d much prefer the Haris version if you asked me. Besides, robbing Dashat of both TA and the Rui Shi link would swing the pendulum too far. I would rather they remove the TA profiles and reverse the changes to McMurrough
