I seriously doubt that the Triumvirate is that stupid. Indeed, we might be using Humans as a meat shield to some degree (forget I admitted this), but if we just allow EI to conquer the Human Sphere, that will basically mean we will be providing it a fresh new source of troops and processing power.
The Danavas has a fresh just out of the mold model, and it only has 2 hacker profiles, I would be really surprised. A dasyus however ... Well that is just a mean thing to say... More seriously, I don't understand why Aleph is dismissed as a "no one starting Infinity would consider Aleph" I started Infinity not so long ago, and I went for the lovable caring AI. ALEPH has potential to be in a two player box considering the "big four" already are present in these boxes.
While I did not start with Aleph, at one point I considered that if I were to start a wargame, I would definitely be attracted to a faction that does not require making an entire freaking regiment of minis, what's with "elite army" trope. Then again, I did not, in fact, started with Aleph. A friend of mine considers doing that, being attracted by entire Greek mythology thingie. We'll see if that'll work out.
I'm pretty sure it comes from a time when CB said that they don't want to put either Aleph or Tohaa in a two player starter because they are more "advanced." That being said, I could see them changing their mind on Aleph, but I still doubt they'd put Tohaa in a two player starter.
That isn't the reason, that's why. (Information below was from Gutier (aka Interrupter - Corvus belli's god) two years ago) The two player boxes are meant to be starter sets and focus on the core book. Consequently Aleph and Tohaa won't be part of a two player box since they come in human sphere, not the core book. So odds are on maybe a redo of icestorm, but with varuna and tunguska for gencon, and maybe vedic in may? (I'm guessing) Before cancon things were revealed (Shas next year) my guess would have been combined(shas) vs ariadna (kazaks) as the next box
Shas being pushed back to 2019 is the worst news I'm likely to hear all year. I suppose it's a blessing in disguise as like many players, i'm behind in painting the minis i already own.
Millitary Orders gets seperated from PanO main to act as a crusading/inquisitor unit to purge out the xeno collaborators. Lose access to Joan in Vanilla PanO, lose access to Fusiliers in MO, and MO becomes unaligned Inquisitorial branch. This also explains the new Joan sculpt, standing across a dead combine trooper. Unsure if PanO would lose access to all MO units and knights, maybe they would need to to make space for new Varuna units. JSA revolts from YJ and becomes unaligned army. This is to control the balance and design space of vanilla YJ and PanO. It also removes a load of HI from PanO to help separate them from you Jing and leaves space for Varuna to revitalise the ORC trooper. Thats my speculation. Also JSA and MO both need new starters, so I bet this is the new starter box.
JSA and MO separate from their respective factions and join each other to create the Space Samurai Crusaders Sectorial Army, the most cool, close combat oriented, and useless sectorial of the non aligned forces.
MO and all its lovely CC knights get sectorial access to regular smoke just as soon as they leave PanO. Can't be letting Vanilla PanO inherit smoke.
Wouldn't it just :) There more I think about it, the more sense it makes to me. I wonder how the data supports sectorial units being used in vanilla. I wonder if it's mostly just Joan and TOFOOS that get used in lists with the rest of the knights being neglected outside of MO lists. You'd have to leave a few token knights behind in vanilla pano, like the father knights as they came in ice storm, and they aren't even aligned to a holy order.
*The sound of a thousand knights simultaneously reaching a jesus-laced, strained-faced and smoky climax ensues*
You aware that TOFOOS in vanilla have additional SWC tax, ensuring that 95% of time Crocman are taken ?
I am aware, sure. I occasionally use them anyway when points are tighter than SWC, but usually I do go for croc men, yes. Anyway, thats why I was saying about i'd like to see the data. If it does fall that way, how many Millitary Orders profiles do you actually see in Vanilla? Black Friar, Joan, Hospitaller Doc MAYBE ? Feel like Vanilla would only mourn the loss of Joan if that were to happen.
This would be next to impossible unless they suddenly released every sectorial possible at the same time. If they did that, there are tons of miniatures that would become paperweights until their sectorials dropped. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
