    Hello,

Let's say that i have Ayyar on the table, and he's disguised as a Ghulam without Holoechoes. My turn ends, he's outside of enemy's LOF. Can i use automatic Holoecho regeneration while using HE LV1? And would it reveal Ayyar?

Automatic regeneration of your holoechoes being none of these, it doesn't cancel the holo 1 state, so I would say you can without revealing your Ayyar (your opponent is likely to guess through)

Holoprojector L1 and L2 are NFB, you're going to have to drop Holoprojector L1 when you activate Holoprojector L2 in order to make use of the skill's regenerating rule.

I tend to agree with Mahtamori, the holoecho state has a special clause allowing it to combine with holo level 1 and project as 3 false troopers, but if you have downgraded to holoprojector lvl 1 you are now activating a new NFB skill and it has to, at least temporarily, cancel the original skill and very briefly reveal the trooper.

To be honest, I'm not sure what is the reason to worry about not revealing your Ayyar when nothing else in the army can drop holoechoes anyway.

You have Bash bazook in Haqquislam also, so Ayyar is not special with his Holoechoes.

Yeah, keep forgetting those guys. But holoechoes regenerate at the end of your active turn, so by then your opponent will know whether that model is impetuous.

Na-ah. If you don't use you irregular orders you can fool around your opponent. Rules said you must display your regular and irregular order pool but it's belonging is a mistery. And Bashi are just irregular, not impetuous.

Talking about a topic question, Holoecho L2 rules specially points:
The effect of the Holoecho state can be combined with the effects of the Holoprojector L1 state.
Reactivating holoecho on reactive turn is not a skill declaration, it's just a Holoprojector L2 special rule, so Ayyar don't cancel his holoecho state.
Activating on active turn is not a skill also, it's special rule of holoecho units (it is not mentionet in skill list as soon as camouflaging or impersonation). So technically reactivating echoes you not declare any skill, so Ayyar don't cancel his holoecho state also.

You are right regarding NFB but you can still combine the two states. See the holoechoes wiki page :

I think NFB here is to prevent the use of DDO and other

I fully agree with what green said

Okay, while I don't think there is room for frivolously ignoring that you're going from one state to a different state that both require NFB skills, also consider that Holoprojector is not Cautious Movement nor a Short Movement Skill that does not require a roll (except Alert). Declaring Holoprojector is a cancellation clause of Holoprojector.

I can also see wiggle room to argue that you can't activate Holoprojector L2 if the state is already active.

RAW say that in that specifica case, you can combine both state. I think it can be understood like this :
    - holoprojector 1 and holoprojector 2 have NFB so can't be combine
    - holoechoes state include all the effect of holo 1 state, no NFB between the 2 state

Regarding regenerating holoechoe, while done in the beginning of your reactive turn : it's not a skill (which explain why it doesn't break suppressive fire)

I would agree there is room for discussion here

No, I mean that there's two different states. Not different skills.

An Ayyar in Holoprojector 1 (Ghulam) activating the skill to go to Holoprojector 1 (Hafza) means he's going from one NFB state to a different NFB state. Same goes for going from Holoecho (Ghulam HMG) to Holoecho (Ghulam Doctor) - those are two different NFB states, even if they come from the same skill, so by necessity you'd have to drop the previous state before activating the new state and even if there is no step between them when done outside the Order Expenditure Sequence you'd still have to disclose information about the Ayyar to your opponent.
Same goes for Holoecho without Holo1, you have to remove the fakes before placing the new Echoes. I mean, otherwise taking your interpretation to the extreme, you're basically saying that Holoecho state does not cancel Holoecho state meaning a trooper can be in several Holocho states at the same time allowing an Ayyar to amass up to 8 Holoechoes (plus the Ayyar themselves) over the course of a game. States are after all cumulative.

I always tought that HP3 was created only for Patroclus' ODD and ft:Duo, and "The effect of the Holoecho state can be combined with the effects of the Holoprojector L1 state" line bypasses NFB rule in this case.
And since im about to deploy both Ayyar and Yasibir, and autoregen if echoes at the start of my turn is optional i would really love to set up some confussion with them.
