Hey all! So these are the models that we should be seeing in the Beyond Wildfire box that will release later in the year. Omega Unit Betatrooper, Remote Activity Unit Beta Cuervo Goldstein, Basilisk Level Delta While I'll probably only ever really need one Omega Unit, I hope that they'll have another way of getting more than one Betatrooper as I'd most likely be playing at least two of them in my normal lists.
I love them aside from Cuervo! But I think he could be improved by rotating his head so he looks like he is dashing forward as opposed to skipping through a medow. (Not that there's anything wrong with a good ol' frolic)
Cuervo's pose is... meh. Too many concepts into one. Betatroopers are prime candidates for a SWC box of 3-4 (3 with a different unit, or 4 for all profiles) and a Core/Haris in their sectorial next year.
I would definitely rotate his head to be looking forward for a more menacing pose - but I do agree that a frolic is never a bad thing haha I sure hope see - they just scream Haris to me!
Cuervo has strange pose but I don't know if thats the thing I dislike most about him. He just seem odd without helmet. I know he is named character and he should be different but his armor feels inconplete without it. Beta and Omega are great. I guess we will get 1 or 2 more Omegas and maybe Beta box.
All miniatures are really good but Omega is amazing, I like its pose and a HI with ODD is very interesting. Hope to see this box in November.
You know full well Beta is going to be a 3-REM box with a TinBot, don't kid yourselves; the only question is whether we get a female sculpt (somehow).
I wouldn't mind that. I've grown used to use Tinbot profiles without Tinbots (I have enough bloody tokens tto push around, thank you very much) since Yu Jing doesn't have them, but the ttwo remaining weapons and Doctor would be welcome additions as at least this player is likely to use all three at once more than as a gimmick. With no knowledge of what the sectorial will do with them, of course.
I love these except for Cuervo, but I can't decide why. I'm pretty sure it's something about his head the rotation or the look, but the whole pose feels off somehow.
It's a good box IMO. And well selected, given that Betatrooper Specialist and Omega HMG are probably two profiles that people are immediately like "WANT"
Unfortunate that Cuervo isn't the SMG version, and that pose... Pretty much kills getting more than 1 for me, converting that dude would be a pain
