I just hope the promised "shock content" isn't about CB moving to plastic. Not in the current state of affairs :P
Supposedly on the LHost podcast facebook page I guess, but I'm not 100% I got it second hand from the Nomads facebook page.
The question is, would it be moved wholesale and involve YJ/ISS losing Ninjas and the rest of them as you said, or would it split like Druze from QK, so we'd have the old JSA in YJ and a new/modified Japanese Separatist Forces or whatever in the NA2.
Nudging the discrete corner of the narrative involving JSA's teenage angst toward big daddy state-empire forward all of six inches doesn't really strike me as something that would surprise anyone. Carlos's previous teases of what's coming all suggested something that would smack you in the face, get your attention, and make you ask, "how could you?" I don't think what's coming amounts to, "JSA finally secedes." Or at a minimum, if JSA secedes, that'll just be part of a larger series of events. My money is actually on YJ staging a successful coup against PanO, finally becoming the hyperpower they always wanted to be and giving PanO players another thing to complain about (that's a joke, by the way, nobody f*cks with the hyperpower).
JSA assassinates the Space Pope, the Morats revolt, turning JSA, MO, and Morats all into non-aligned.
I'd be happy with that but I do wonder if CBs way of dealing with Army bloat is to change each season which ones are legal in ITS? So while all the figures are still usable in Vanilla the will be times, probably story based, where you cannot play a specific army.
Actually it's a Sun Tze himself and some bloodied JSA meat shiel.. I mean soldiers from the front lines. Will we see JSA abandoning the empire and joining nomads on a giant spaceship that can also transform into a robot?
Oh look, so it seems MO would seek independence too and join IE Come on, we can continue suggesting more stupid ideas
I believe it was actually touted more as "bigger than Ko-Dali" which fits if the faction that lost a character is now losing a sectoral. YuJing shutting down the official JSA forcing the rebellion to move out of YJ into Unaligned would certainly be a big change that I could get behind. It would certainly help give them a way to better support a popular concept without intruding on the overall improved design and direction we've seen from YJ recently.
being in rebellion to the point where vanilla/ISS lose access to JSA units (or have to treat them like Mercs), and vice versa would be a huge shakeup and really cool~
So we get rid of all the weebs and their katanas and their crying? And they go make their own faction? Leave us alone, stop raiding the fridge, stop attracting the wrong kind of people home? Maybe there is some merit to this idea. #CasualRacism
Currently the JSA is an actual official, supported organization within YuJing to give the Japanese people a degree of autonomy. It's just also full of rebels who use the organizations resources to bite the hands that feed it. I suspect its less "you guys go away and form your own faction" and more "we will crush you, remove the independence you've used to defy us, subjugate what remains and replace everything with our standard military". There will, of course, be those that escape to fight from the shadows in an unofficial capacity; probably funded secretly by YJ's enemies; but its not likely to be a happy change for the JSA.
Maybe there'll be an event where it's the human sphere scoring points against CA and Tohaa, enough being "enough messing with us, this is our slice of the universe"
I don't think this would've spread through the facebook pages like wildfire with several warcors claiming they've seen things, and with Carlos Bostria himself feeling the need to respond to one of the posts if it was nothing or a hoax. So please, buddy:
