He seems off somehow. The head is definitely more Kazak than Yu Jing, but it is something else as well. Not great, not even good for my tastes.
I get the feeling that it's either a bad camera angle or the head isn't in the right position somehow. Especially when compared to the render.
The head is just enormous, way too big. A helmeted version might be able to salvage this, but otherwise... Euugh...
Dude, the same size of a head on both photos. I've pointed out the head issue straight when the render came out. I think the main problem is an excess of recicling. They've started from a Yanhuo body and made some changes because and the Guy is a S2 (Is a miniature to play in corridors inside a boardgame table). So, obviously a lot of problems emerged from there. the head is big making the man seem fat or even a short guy, but the main problem is within the main body proportions. In my opinion Is one of the worse works From CB of the last years. If he was a regular release I would skip purchasing it.
Face is like about he is holding a giant turd, or wants to fart really bad! Hope there is a helmet option
I'm kinda hoping he is not in IA (my only YJ sectoral). Not a great model, and I'm a little sick of painting YJ HIs.
Now that I've seen the head (on a different forum): Yeah, that head is too big. It's not grossly oversized like a GW head, but it's at least Hasslefree size. I would definitely want to swap it, ideally with a helmet (maybe from the bare-headed Wu Ming?) Please, CB, make your sculptors look at pictures of 'Murrican football players with their helmets off! Or at least sculpt the body first, then put armor on top of it... >_>
(the possibly defiance relevant bit) Could people please try not to be sick in the corridors (probably not) DOCTOR REQUIRED IN GP'S OFFICE. TWO SURGEONS REQUIRED IN OPERATING THEATRE. TWO SURGEONS REQUIRED IN OPERATING THEATRE. We have a VIP with us! 'Incoming Message from the Big Giant Head'
O ye simple, simple people. His head is just fine. His body is undersized. I suspect that it was originally sculpted for a 40mm base, like the Yan Huo, but then CB realized that it needed to be on a 25mm base. So a digital sculpt make-over and voila, one macrocephalic ready for action. next time the sculptor will remember to re-scale the body and the head. He's bald but at least he's not screaming. I say this because the artwork shown certainly has a grimme darke® feel to it.
Seeing it on my phone, I was thinking it was due to the camera angle, but I'm not sure anymore... He really looks like someone who can headbutt missiles coming at him. Great artwork you've posted there @Red Harvest! Has certainly a 40k feeling, and here at least our Asian hero looks... Asian :p
