I agree with Janzerker. The gameplay impact of having your staple unit not able to go into UNC makes things weird (both beneficial and for the benefit of the enemy's classified objectives) and the point savings for having that configuration are trivial. For building a truly basic heavy infantry, I'd take a close look at BS, CC, and that extra pistol if it costs anything. I'd ballpark a Zhencha without Infil, Camo, Climb+, and NWI->2W at about 22 points, take or give some, just note that I'm just guessing that Zhencha pays the HI premium for Camo/Infiltration.
I agree with this, fuck giving up two wounds. Cb needs to actually get their shit together and do a standardisation sweep across the whole game and clean all this out of kilter shit up.
I have had a little trouble trying to figure out how to use Tai Sheng. In a Haris option moreso. I figure the CoC option shouldn't be discounted because it can end up with Sheng being a pricey but useful specialist/button pusher in an otherwise firepower driven fireteam with the Harris Zuyong and maybe the Yan Huo. Might be worth considering for LI scenarios. Overall though I agree with the sentiment that Sheng is better suited in a core team.
Off-topic, but would really love some batreps or just a summary! Feeling clueless on how to make IA work, and just one month left til the tourney in CPH :)
Thanks, read them and I'm re-reading now. However, you had the same approach to list building as I have had so far. I would love to see how the pain train handles 4 mutts or 15 camo tokens, or order spam in general.
I always use the MK12 profiles. While the tinbotB is nice, I find its superfluous. I almost always have the zuyong TinbotB\TA. As for the CoC. I upgrade if I can fit it, but its optional. My personal rule for using him is: If playing a Zuyong Core, use him for NCO and as a back up gun incase the HMG dies. If I'm trying a different type of list, I take the Mowang (NCO) for gameplay diversity. Also the Mowang makes for a great Datatracker\Xenotech escort. In a Zuyong haris I already have a TinbotB, and usually take the TA\HMG zuyong with a Dayoing KHD. This way I still get the extra orders and its my counter to hackers.
Tai Sheng is a female. Unlike in english language In spanish language adjectives have the genre of the noun, which allows to identify her in the spanish background when Tai Sheng speaks in the interview making all the references to its person as herself.
Or, alternatively, as a link: https://forum.corvusbelli.com/threads/its-how-did-it-gone-south-in-south-korea.27362/
Not healed from 1 to 2 wounds. Healed from 0 to 1 wound. He's writing that the 2 points saved aren't worth giving up the "extra" unconscious state for.
If you activate NWI you then don't have a further unconcious state. If you take another wound you go straight to dead. So, a two wound model can take two wounds, fall unconcious and then be healed back up. A one wound model with NWI can either take one wound and fall unconcious, OR take one wound and activate NWI to stay standing. If the trooper takes a further wound whilst in NWI they don't go unconcious, they die outright. He's saying that he prefers the additional wound a two wound model can sustain while still being able to be healed to the NWI version of things.
NWI can be healed, but that means you have to stop activating the model after the first wound and wait for the Yisheng to heal you. A real Zuyong with 2 wounds can take two wounds before you have to stop. A real Zuyong can also get unlucky saves versus T2 or DA and not be removed, but instead be downed and wait for the Yisheng to do their job. I fully agree with @Janzerker that the small point savings for fake-HI on the Zuyong would not be worth it had we the choice.
