I will admit I have no idea what a razor saw is. Back when I first started infinity I figured I needed something to cut into tabs with - using nippers can actually displace legs/ feet sideways, damaging the mini. My first pressing need for a saw occurred when I got an Aquila Guard HMG to convert one of my ORCs, however. I needed that arm socket sliced off and had no proper equipment to do it.

I heard of Knew Concepts from some internet jeweller's forums here and there (I work on fountain pens as well), and they seemed a reputable company, so I emailed their customer service address with images of the mini, what I wanted to do, and what the minis were made of. Brian Meek of Knew Concepts assisted me, and after some back and forth he recommended me the following:

Knew Concepts 3" Mk.IV Heavy Duty Fret Saw with Lever Tension

    #2/0 blade

    And a Guillotine clamp.

The clamp helps hold the mini in place when I am sawing, and the wooden layer on the jaws prevents pressure from deforming the pewter. The blade size in question may be a little thick though - it can erase detail if you are not very good at sawing, or if the area you are cutting through contains high amounts of sculpted detail. Brian did mention that going one size down was possible, so you might want to do that. They have a sizing chart on their website. I've had my saw for a while now, and other than initially not understanding how it worked, there have been no more issues. It's made well, sturdy, and does what it's supposed to do. The only downside is a high initial investment - but it was worth it to me as a long-term thing.

Well, the Mk12 is supposed to be a big rifle, it's on the order of a .375H&H safari rifle. The case alone is about twice the length of a standard assault rifle round, and it's much fatter, too.

So a big magazine is fine (about the size of a YJ multisniper rifle), but a barrel about the same length as a standard combirifle.

Civilians are great for that. As are various fantasy minis, especially something like an entire army.

Try Statuesque Minis, their fine scale and pulp scale accessories are great. The Finescale heads are just about perfect for the older Infinity minis, and their Pulp Scale heads are about perfect for current CAD sculpts.

You can also try Hasslefree Miniatures, they have a huge selection of weapons. HF heads are a bit big, not as big as GW's Heroic, but not as small as most Infinity heads.

Quick and nasty, but done. I'll try getting something a bit closer-up and more 40k stuff if I can.

    Niiiice.

No major conversions with these dudes, but the whole fireteam is finished now, and they all have at least minor changes from the standard models.

    Starting from left to right
1: Shotgun Wu Ming body/head with chain rifle Wu Ming arms. Breaker pistol and Combi swapped in instead of chain rifle and helmet.
2: HMG Wu Ming body/head, shotgun Wu Ming arms
3: chain rifle Wu Ming body/head, HMG Wu ming arms
4: panzerfaust Wu Ming with HRL (being in used as a missile launcher) swapped for the panzer.

@mittenninja Has the remote changed in any way or is it normal without conversions?

It looks much nicer in my opinion. Amazing what a few teaks can do to a model's design.

Went back to redo the Zero Sniper conversion, replaced Grenzer's arms with Intruder's and it turned out much better (and with much less work to fit both hands on rifle)

Worked today on de-Tactical Rocking my space faring Spiral Corps. Neema Saatar and the old starter pack Clipsos got their rocks replaced with something a little more fitting, and the Surda Symbiobeasts got some very meager greenstuff work done on their foot pads to prepare them for the same treatment tomorrow.

Here's all of my painted Dahshat so far. Everything is a conversion in some capacity besides the HVT.
