Hey does anybody have an idea of what the color scheme or what the main colors are lore wise for the Dashshat and Foreign Companies? Or do they even have any. I was thinking of painting some for fun but I like to stick pretty close to official colors for my miniatures.
Going by the logos Dashat seems to go by the Brawler color scheme, I would guess. FC seem to have non if you go by the SoF.
whatever you like, they are mercenaries after all the fun to paint mercs it´s that you are not tied to fluffy colors and could be creative...
I figured Dashat would be green. The thing that the Yu Jing and Haq troops have is Islam and green is a unifying colour in Islam (its Mohammed's favourite colour) All my heavy infantry in Dashat is green and waiting for white trim, colours that feature in Arabic nation flags.
Foreign company: go bold or go home. They represent high status clients and as such would look quite good. I imagine they are often on Maya Cast escorting high profile individuals.
No doubt. Sometimes I like making things up, sometimes I need to be inspired first. Both of those are excellent points.
I think being able to come up with your own is the greatest thing about Mercs. You can be a bit more creative. Hell, for my Ikari, every single model is going to be different. Dahshat, in my head, is a division of Yu Jing and will eventually have it's own colors. Druze will probably have one single unifying color but everything else may be different. Ikari Keisotsu Druze and Ikari
Since i play Druze, Ikari, StarCo, JSA and ForCo (or will be once i can get them painted), I'm painting them all using the same colors but in different ways, so the units that are in different factions will still have commonality.
