We might see the Greif Operator only because it's also usable by the Combined Army. Other than that I wouldn't expect to see or hear anything about Tohaa at GenCon. At this point we need to start making noise for CB to add a Tohaa expansion to Defiance just so we can get some additional sculpts for units.
I started Tohaa at the beginning of 2019 and was really happy about that announcement. I even managed to get a 300pts army box, imagining the awsome sculpt the Taqeul will get. (Right? Right?) Well... The state of Tohaa is quite comparable to that of the dodo.
Current tohaa top tier list don't need any new miniatures. Maybe operator but i'am not sure. every other miniature would be better than Taqeul, worse Tohaa unit, unless he receive total rework. on the other had, Tohaa remove was quite silent. When acco and mero was removed - we receive some clues and promises to return them with new sculpts. In case of tohaa they was just discontinued. I don't remember any words about their future in Spiral videos.
@PsychoCrane It seems we are considered an endangered species until further notice. Nothing that I can remember. The discontinued models were revealed on a facebook post? I can't tell for certain but it did seem to fly under the collective radar of the community at large.
They could at least release miniatures for commonly used and already 3D sculpted models, like the HMG Sukeul. And the Reex. The Taqeul is not bad per se, just overcosted because it has Regeneration.
Yeah, CB should just drop Regeneration and add FIreteam:Triad. (And add it to Spiral so CB gets a reason to release the model!) Then drop the Haris profil of the Longarms and give them Fireteam:Triad as well, maybe then one might even see atable. And maybe Superjump for the Kerail, because, I don't know what the designer was thinking back then... As a side note: Even the Tohaa dice got discontinued, something that did not happen to the other ones, as they were only sectorials...
I don't think they will do that plus there is room on the shirt to add another major faction to it. and from the above picture there could be a few more major factions added besides O-12 & Tohaa would still have a place on it.
Can I just say that shirt has always set off my OCD? The factions should be arranged in order of name length, and the aleph purple and CA purple are too close together in terms of shades.
