PanO always used to be considered the starter faction almost, for better or worse. And maybe that constrained their design complexity a bit.

Feels like PanO have got more complex recently, which is good. So maybe these guys are supposed to be filling that gap? Does almost feel that way. Especially as they are very direct in mechanics. Shoot man. Specialist man. Big shoot man.

This is the attitude and analysis that I really disagree with. Maybe because I actually consider both of those good units. Same goes for Zerats and Locusts. Sure, they have stronger and weaker profiles, but it isn't decided by Specialist status.

Clearly, the Locust is here to kill, nothing else.
The MMR is even more like the annoyance it is hard to get rid off because he can shoot you from far away at good odds on your weaker troops and stay unbeaten except if you use a lot of orders dedicated for his elimination. Or you crit him, of course. I think this profile embodies the unit the most.

From their silhouette I was getting a strong Chappie vibe.

How does Cybermask work with Madtraps? G: Sync as well?

It wouldn't affect deployable weapons, but the G:Sync rule states that both the controller and the synchronized unit gain the Impersonation state. (See Scylla and her devabots for an example of this)

    G: Synchronized and Hacking Programs
If the player activates any Hacking Program which provides any MOD or state to the Controller of a G: Synchronized trooper (Cybermask, or Kaleidoscope, for example), then such MOD or state will also be applied to the G: Sychronized trooper.

With G-sync Cybermask also masks the linked units.

With Madtraps, I believe it doesn't do anything to them

Ok thanks. I understand G: Synch now. But with Madtraps, the Cybermasked Gangbuster can't be targeted but the Madraps can? For example, Ganbuster with Cybermask on moves from total cover into sight of an enemy. Both he and the madtraps can be seen. The enemy can only shoot the Madtraps or Discover. He can't hold his ARO against a marker state because the Madtraps are visible and he must shoot at them.

Exactly. Mat Traps are Perimeter Items, not G: Sync.

No. The reactive trooper still chooses who to react to, just like they would with a Coordinated Order. If it's the IMP marker, then they can delay against the IMP marker - but the usual restrictions about only getting an ARO if the active trooper reveals themselves will apply.

The points costs are pretty much right. The Sog is more expensive because High PH and CC. however, what really, really *infuriates* me about this is the fact the Sog Feuerbach doesn't have a lieutenant option.

Fingers crossed this mistake will be sneak fixed like they did with the Zerats, but I know for a fact they won't do it.

No, he can hold against the marker in that context.

Ok. Thanks guys. It's a pretty good tactic I think though by making the enemy make hard choice. Hold against the marker or shoot a Madtrap. If he holds, the Gangbuster just moves closer with the Madtraps. If he decides to shoot a Madtrap, the Ganbuster then revels to shoot SMG or Hack if it's enemy hacker.
