But they're separate models, right? Or is the Sheskin a character version of the general Speculo, and they all just look more or less the same? Got to keep that hair looking good for the cameras.
Yeah I wonder how much of a discount the SMG is - the Hacker is only 3 pts over the standard combi version of the troopers. Normaly the HD is 8 pts over the combi trooper. Zhanshis will cry ... when they see the Kappa profile.
Maybe the Varangian Guard are in fact Ariadna mercenaries solely employed by the O-12 for security purposes?
The Hsien is probably the reason for the heavier spines on the Caliban. Combis are 8 points, SMGs are 3. It's a significant savings for a basic line infantry. This kind of design should probably have been in Tunguska to make the Securitate hacker more appealing.
Tunguska was designed long before it was implemented, so some of its options seem a bit dated compared to the new stuff.
I thought the main difference was that the Romans did it with women? Wait, maybe it's not wrestling I'm thinking of...
I'm pretty sure I'll be able to file them down and/or reaarrange to suit me, but I'll have to see them in person first.
I guess that might be the case. Still it seems slightly disappointing if they truly decided to forgo the Mercenary Varangian force but not the levels of disappointment as how the Tohaa have been treated/backseated. If they are the replacement of the idea I hope it is done well. True, having them be Norse in nature fits the historical background of their name better. Though CB has shown that historical influences in their ideas are at a minimum. Just look at Haqqislam's troops and the historical units they are named after. Very big disconnect from the past and supposed future.
That's pretty much their description in the RPG. Their leader is a Caledonian veteran of the Ariadnan Expeditionary Force, he recruits both fresh volunteers from Dawn but also AEF veterans who fought on Paradiso. The Bureau Aegis is one of their biggest clients.
I think they'll turn out just fine. I have faith the Cadmus' spikes will look and feel great thematically.
Well that explains alot. I must have forgotten that part of the small blurb that the Core book has of them. Cuase I don't remember that being in there at all. Still the faction's unit reveal seems to go along your statement. It still might leave the option to release a NA-2 sectorial in the future but we will see.
