That's right. I've ran the numbers, and Feuerbach has a similar chance of wounding anything from ARM 4 and up, slightly higher risk of taking a would than the HMG, which is in turn balanced by superior ARO. I fully intend to field both versions.

Daiyokai is pretty good at lower ranges, and once you're able to get to CC it'd make short work of Gamma, or anything else. Devil is in the details, primarily in how a units' army supports it.

I see your Gamma and raise you an Epsilon.

Why is the Epsilon sniper and HMG 4pts cheaper than the Nisse?

It loses multiterrain, a Phys and an ARM but gains a Nanopulsar, BTS 3 and Bioimmunity. Surely thats should be a wash or are Phys and ARM that overcosted? [IMG][IMG]

Is the Gamma the first AD KHD we have gotten? Way more useful than the AHD units everyone gets.

Edit: It has been brought to my attention that there are units like the Nahab and Cadmus as well that have them.

The Dai is also linkable, costs less SWC, and has a panzerfaust, oh, and Fatality.

Now, I still think the Gamma is a better unit, but the Dai is still a pretty cool choice.

Daiyokai is more of a toolbox, with weapons and skills to use in a wider number of situations. Gamma is an optimized firebase - simply a very durable platform with high BS and a heavy weapon.

Daiyokai is more versatile, and a cool unit; but I think JSA and Ikari would trade him for Gamma without blinking. The panzerfaust helps, but his primary weapons are a Multi marksman and a Red Fury that are in a different league than Gamma ones, even factoring Fatality L1. Ah and BS13.
Maybe Gamma would be linkable in the future O-12 sectorials.

I think CA has an AD KHD (Cadmus)

The Daiyokai is an excellent data tracker due to the large tool box of weapons and not dying easily in CC. I think the Gamma will want to stay pretty far away from the opponent to not end up in a CC they can't win.

FTFY, Singh is also an AD trooper distinctly different from the base trooper, and also very melee-oriented ;)

You're writing like this is O-12's 2nd or 3rd sectorial. We haven't seen Deltas at all yet. I'm not saying "make him less special", I'm saying "why the hell is a super special dude both allowed to go gallivanting around using non-regimental doctrines and stuck at what's essentially scrub level brigade?" A special character like that doesn't really need to belong to a specific regiment.

Oh and bringing in the special favouritest PCs has me a bit worried...

The O-12 profiles are super optimized and no bloat calculated with the latest CB formula.

Singh is just an Akal with bloat, a good example of how not to do a special character. Margot is a Moblot with a unique deployment skill and weapon options, she also comes with Duroc who is a Cameronian with unique deployment, both good examples of how to make special character actually special. Patsy vs ORC and Steel Phalanx also do it well (Diomedes vs Ekdromoi, Tuecer/Atalanta vs Agema, Acmon vs Dactyls)

Cuervo isn't the first RPG character to ascend either, I know for sure that Le Muet and Pavel McManus come from that same primogenitor game, and I think Bran Do Castro too.

I knew there was another one in Ariadna but couldn't remember if it was him or Uxia.

My 2 cents on them as an opponent. I’m going to be getting the new box for the Shasvastii and my friend is taking the O-12.

    Profiles shown.

Kappa look good. I’m irritated that they are only 1pt more than a Zhanshi for +1 BS, the most used stat in the game, and Bioimmunity. But I should be used to it.

Epsilon are what I expected. I’m thinking that there will be no Camo or Holo in O-12, but there will be Mimetisim and ODD.

Delta is great. I think we’ll see a lot of the Doctor or FO and not much else. At first KHD seemed good but why make him hackable if he’s not already?

I’m going to be super pissed if Gangbusters get Madtraps before Kanren or Zhanying. They seem great for the price though. He’s going to be hell if he goes into suppression with Combi or SMG. He’s a good cheap-ish road bump. I think we’ll see a lot of the KHD just because of being a specialist.

Gamma, well I don’t want to face them! Target #1 for the Speculo though :)

Hippolyta, typical that other factions get the CC monsters I want for Yu Jing. She looks great though.

I like all of the new troops profiles. interesting that, with what we have seen, there’s very few options for Lt. The Kappa costs 1 SWC but so does the Gamma but of course with better weapon.

    Others to come.

I had a feeling they’d get some Aleph units. Makes sense and the low AVA is is reasonable. I'm guessing we'll see a lot of Deva Lt. I’m hoping the Deva options are not exactly like Aleph. Like all the Lt. options.

In the Beyond Wildfire he said the Beta are some sort of Remote/Cypernetic thing like Dakini. But where they are on the list suggests they are HI. Right between Omega and Gama. So maybe like a Karakuri? Again envious, I wanted something to replace Karakuri in Yu Jing.

I’m guessing Razor unit is another Skirmisher with the Gangbuster but possible more TAGs.

Varangian are Ariadna Mercs right? But here they are Skirmish or Warband. Thinking Warband due to the Axes in the symbol.

The rest I’m guessing the Remotes are similar to Aleph with Climb+ but different weapons.

Yup. Cheapest regular hacking device in the game.

Honestly it just sucks that some factions have to deal with actually paying points for effectiveness, and other factions get it for free.

Did I mention I hate SMGs?
