Unfortunately my Pals were off elsewhere trying to spread the goodness. As for I have never done an ITS and most likely won’t. The games I have had so far have all been slaughterfests. Hopefully when we have a more reliable stable of regular players that will change.

Explosive was the real killer but shock and DA didn’t help.

PanO has been my competitive mainstay for nearly 5 years, and I never noticed the Machinist has BTS3.

    My mind is blown.

I seriously just went back and checked the old PDF versions of lists I used from Wotan and Flamestrike, because I was going to SWEAR that this had to be a stealth upgrade which had been slipped into Army.

HOW can I have been playing with this unit in nearly every list I run for YEARS and have NEVER noticed that the Machinist has BTS?!?

    HOW?!?

And this is why we pay one more point for him where other factions pay the same price for the standard Engineer et Doctor.

Yu Jing pays 15 for theirs or 14 for the bs 10 jsa version.

    Haqq & Nomads pay 17 & 18! Granted wip 14 & 15 are pretty nice.

Machinists are positively cheap at 15. Must be the WIP 12 discount.

Not to mention that we have access to repair re-rolls for our TAGs, so lower WIP isn't as big a drawback.

@Stiopa You really should give the attribution of that quote in your signature, you know “-Every sergeant ever and no general ever.”

Just chalk the observation up to regularly playing vs. Hassassin lists for years. (And watching viral ammo just crush my armies.)

Another month gone and no Infinity. The other Infinity player did not show up on Sunday so I wasted half a day drinking cider and watching games in which I have no interest before bailing. Hopefully next month will be better.

Not really remote; it’s the outer metro area of a city of 5.7 million, Australia’s largest.

I joined a group in the Penrith area, the only one I know of that seems to have heard of Infinity and in three meetings there has been one guy interested in playing and he had not played before so I ended up trying to teach him. Talk about the blind leading the blind. And he was not there this weekend. Not sure if I scared him off or if he just had other stuff on.

As for those groups, I’m on infinity Australia but not a lot of western Sydneyites on there. Or so it seems.

True enough, it can feel awfully empty sometimes. The dice rattling into silence like ghosts in a post apocalyptic Vegas.
