Template makes sense to me - I imagine we'll also end up with a heavy version that uses a large teardrop.
I find it interesting that all 3D renders seems to be shown on bigger bases than standard 25 mm. Question is if CB plan to change bases on a bigger ones at some point or it's just for show (so they look better on the render but then you have minis like gangbuster or Valkyrie that are just sticky out on the regular 25 mm base).
I think thats probably something to do with production. There maybe some 3D prints before tooling the moulds and the bases may be needed for the material supports while printing.

I still think the dossier of the female Kappa looks like she's in an episode of Tom and Jerry/Looney Tunes and someone just hit her in the fact with a large hammer, but everything else is very nice I agree!

Seeing them up close I gotta say the Shasvastii are incredible. The design is just nuts.. My favourite is the shrounded...the pose is wicked...it looks like it's sucking the life force from somebody.
I'd imagine O-12 will struggle to keep the 300 point limit :) Not only are they 10 models (9 Regular Orders), but one of them is an S5 with a big F gun (F stands for Feuering, of course). Building a similar list to what's on offer using Yu Jing as a template, I get around 230 points and I fully expect that not a single unit substitute I used is going to be cheaper, Delta is probably going to be more expensive than Tigers, Epsilon more expensive than Lunah, Gamma more expensive than Yan Huo... maybe Hippo won't be more expensive than Hulang, but still...
Man I’m loving the Shasvastii more and more I see them! The only thing I don’t like, is the weapons. But not because they are not cool. I just think they look like human weapons. They are not ‘alien” enough to me. The Shas themselves have a cool “organic” look to them but the weapons look very manufactured likes. I liked the old ones that had a big of curves to them.
