On the pictures taken from the trailer, the gold trim actually look like a gear harness, which is what I'll probably do. FOr the armor, either a deep marine blue or charcoal. The neon... I'll probably just do trims, maybe keep the blue. Just not full neon sleeves. So a sleek, high tech design.
Thanks for the tip, much appreciated :) I was planning on a black undercoat and some dry brushing of dark grey, or the violet if I go through with it. I'm just not sure how the red will work with it. I already decided any Morat I get will be black and purple, to go with the newer Raicho I picked up.
So far I’m pretty psyched for both. Hippolyte is pretty cool but not something I must have. Valkyrie is petty cool! I could use her in Ikari or Dahshat somehow. I’m not sure what to make of the Sirius thing. I agree he look more Ape-like than dog. I really like the female though. I’ve loved Shasvastii for years. I can’t play them well but love the story and figs for them. The new ones look fantastic. I’m a little sad for some of the features that are lost but they still look good. I’m lucky I have a friend that’s going to pick this up at Gen Con for me.
Any ideas what to use as an alternative or conversations for the dog part of Sirius? I can deal with the handler, but as long as the pictures are at least somewhat representative of the thing, I won’t be able to deal with it.
Describes every squeaky clean protagonist moral license faction ever. O-12 will be no different. "We can do it because 'good guys'. Look for the faction to be responsible for some stuff that makes Yu JIng look saintly. Going to be contrarian here and say the new shasvastii are too bland, not sufficiently visually distinct from the rest of the CA minis. Maybe it's just the paint scheme.
Even then she would have a cool pose. Like Wu ming HRL... Oh, wait. I must say the O-12 models grew on me. Still, I find their armour design inconsistent and can't shake the feeling those trimes look somehow dated. I wonder if painting trimmed sections in the same colour as rest of the armour, would improve things. Hippolyta is still meh. Her Aristea skin is so much better suited for infinity. Let's leave cloaked and over the top models for AoS or Batman.
Ok.... so those Shas lower-leg armor plates... Is it just me, or are some of them segmented and others not?! Like, it looks like the Gwailo has one leg segmented and the other smooth. Is it just the paint job, or are those molded? I can't tell.
I was hoping we'd get to see those premarked bases since they're advertised as included with WF. I doubt they'd include both kinds.
I doubt it. Yu Jing is the designated evil/stupid faction. I have a feeling that O-12's going to be portrayed as unironic good guys.
It would be way more interesting to see a faction be the good guys ironically. "wouldn't it just be so funny if we stopped the combined invasion?" "thats like something my dad would do" "haha, yeah it is"
Heh. In this context, "ironic good guys" would be something more like "we're harsh, but those are the methods needed to defeat the Combined Army." Like Yu Jing using forces primarily composed of Kuang Shi and Wu Ming against EI Aspects to take them out, because no cubes and expendable.
I might have to modify the rifle slightly on the white haired lady in the pack. ALEPH guns have never been really apealing aesthetically to me.
I've largely felt the same about Aleph weapons. For me its because it looks like most of their guns have no stocks. So they look kinda awkward when held
