But they could be (probably are) characters of specific units. Uma is probably a Nisse, Jazz is probably an Interventor, Qiang is possibly a Yan Huo, Cadin is a wulver or Dogwarrior.
Cadin looks great! Are those ammo belts for shotgun shells he’s got on him? I wonder if he’ll have a heavy shotty like one of the Wulver profiles. Or more likely, he used up those rounds back in ‘79 and since then it’s just been him and his choppers.
He was... once. Characters may have a military past, but currently they are recruited for a mission, beyond their units and their nations. You know.
Fair enough. So Qiang told some bullshit about the Emperor once because his Multi-HMG was out of ammo in the middle of a fight and then "volunteered" to save the world as penitence, I guess.
I Wasn't talking about the shown characters being resculpted, my hope is for a Military Order styled character at some point.
Well, I stand corrected, then! Dog-warrior would have been a bit of a stretch, just because it would have required another model. Must have guessed right on Qiang, though. Maybe. CB might be trying to avoid the "knights in SPEEHS!" trope for Defiance, instead focusing on the most archetypal units for each faction. To me, the most archtypal units would be: PanO light&shooty YJ heavy infantry Nomad hacker Haqq medic Ariadna wulver Dunno about Aleph, or if Tohaa is going to be in the mission. There may not be Mercs, either.
Saw that. Consider me a fan ;) As I've said earlier, I like how the torso armor ties visually with how old SEF models look. But I'm not convinced about how practical those thigh armor plates are.
Maybe it is a Forward Observer? We know it's not a hacking device, because his arms don't have the hex panels on them, but CB has started making Forward Observer-specific miniatures now. The Fusilier Forward Observer also has a visor.
