I love the idea of having LOS markers on the bases, but I can also see it as being a problem if the models are suppose to fit really specifically to the base. IE they'll all be facing 90o off of what the LOS marks are, making it look really awkward at a glance. I'm still all for having the LOS marks for any of my unpainted stuff. Cause it's always easy to paint on my own markings on my finished models if I perfer it that way.
Fun fact, you don't have to use the complete tab to secure the models to the base. Just clip most of it off and face the model to match the lof marker.
Honestly, I'd like O12 to take the place of Tohaa as "sectorial faction", and Tohaa getting a sectorial or two of their own, once CB will figure out what to do with them/share it with us, if they figured it out already.
Yu Jing had JSA, then JSA went to NA2. Tohaa could have had its first sectorial, but Spiral Corps went straight to NA2. In this fashion, O-12 is not safe either...
I'm hoping O-12 just doesn't have a vanilla, or they get a vanilla further down the line. I'm hoping we start with Bureau Aegis and that gets fleshed out before more is added on.
From what people more knowledgeable than I have said the thick, preprinted Chardstock isn't far off the cost of MDF (though still lighter so it doesn't kill shipping). Plus the neoprene templates, the new bases, and the fact that battle packs haven't changed in price for 5 years, I can see why the cost has gone up. Which is a shame, fortunately the increase isn't enough to deter me personally.
I can see a price increase because it hasn't gone up in 5 years, and the templates, but upwards of 20% more?
where do you read neoprene templates? because the only neoprene thing is in the new ITS pack, an smoke template. Still said cardboard sheet templates. And about the price increase: New bases, new 3mm thicc escenary, double side printed, and more of them... Worth an increase of 20€? Maybe not. But also cant stay with the actual price
But if the €10 scenery pack has been replaced by a €20-30 scenery pack, the price difference makes a lot more sense. I might have got them confused, I think I saw the smike template with a hole in and assumed it was neoprene for some reason.
The description in the store (following Koni's link) says: And to fulfill the game experience, the Battle Pack includes a new ready-to-play double-sided 3mm printed cardboard scenery (4 Buildings, 4 Holoads, 2 Public Consoles and 9 Blast Barriers), a Game Mat, 6 twenty-sided dices (3 for O-12 and 3 for the Shasvastii), and also cardboard Markers, Templates and a measurement ruler. I don't know what the technical specification for the scenery packs is, but I'm noticing that the Daedalus Gate Scenery Pack (and the other Scenery Packs) are listed at 11.25 Euros. I imagine that we'll see a lot more of the selling points in a few days when the obligatory videos come out, but I can definitely see an addition 9 or so Euros for the price increase over the current whatever-weight cardstock scenery packs.
