One or two extra packs of terrain would make for some quality demo/easy to transport tables that you don't have to be ashamed of using. Just have to get a bit of weight on the smaller ones somehow so they don't move around so much.
Wow. I love everything coming up for Wildfire. ^^ That terrain looks great. The advance pack minis look interesting. Valkyrie is the con exclusive model <3. Curious what the Wildfire bonus mini will be.
Also note the pack comes with an NPC card for her in defiance. So that might be a potential hint for some gameplay mechanics.
Totally called the Valk for con exclusive. I'm hyped for the advanced pack aswell – I'm a huge fan of G: Sync units that are actually useful. I'm curious to see how that Aristeia figure ties in if at all.
Which also might hint that we might be able to play Defiance with more Infinity characters than just the main squad. Probably non-canon, but still fun.
Calling it now: Hypolita is a Skrull.. I mean, Shasvastii. In fact, all the O-12 troops are also Shasvastii
That would actually be a great way to make late crowdfunding campaign stretch goals that are easy to accomplish in the time span they want. Just make stat cards for existing infinity characters in defiance. It can easily expand the character range and give almost everyone a variety of unique flavors of characters easily. Want to play a beefy supersoldier, Tarik is there. Want to play a heavy infantry pistolier, maybe krit kokram will get some love. Want to play a weaker character that cant fight as hard but uses their leadership skills to buff and benefit allies, colonel Voronin is at your service.
On the blister it's writen "1 Defiance NPC card". She's here to kick asses but you're not gonna tell her how to do it.
Luckily I won't be needing a new PC for WoW classic in Aug... 'cus that's some serious spending in the near future.
As they have painted up all the minis for the box art, I'd rather skip renders and go straight to the main attraction.
Tbh the thing that interests me most is the news about bases with integrated LoF markings. I'm probably going to get flamed with 'raaargh LoF is like the easiest thing to do on the bases raaargh' but for a game where LoF is so important, having premarked bases (I'm guessing it's some pre-molded detail of some description) is a great move, especially for new players. I just hope CB capitulates on it by releasing them outside of the starter box and for all the sizes
I don't really see how it's going to work perfectly considering every mini is facing a different angle. My bet is the the base has divots on the 180 mark and we're just kind of expected to use one side of that as the facing regardless of which way the mini is actually facing. That's fine for some – but would bother me.
