So baggage gives the rule that makes the model with 20 more points for victory points.

Unconscious states that all automatic skills and equipment are disabled.

Does an unconscious baggage model give 20+ points to the enemy in scenarios like annihilation or just the ~ 8?

And does a dead baggage give 20+ or ~ 8?

Baggage it automatic equipment, when unconscious it stops functioning so no, baggage is only worth its base cost when dead

I can understand for unconscious. But dead models are not instructed to disable equipment and skills. All but this instance is irrelevant, but here the skill remains and changes an outcome, doesnt it?

No, dead does not specifically call out automatic equipment, because logically if a rule is linked to a dead model then that rule is not active and has no bearing on the game.

The Skill is off, its not applied anymore than any other skill or equipment on a dead model is

That's an interesting point and makes sense.
Though last time I've seen this discussion, it was on the old forum, and it seems that the notion that Baggage is a double-edged sword was prominent.

I have always been under the impression Baggage is a double edge sword.. If it adds extra points to your army for things like "Retreat", "Controlling Zones" "Surviving Army Points" "Victory Points" then it should also count against you, should your opponent kill them..

They have "Baggage" meaning they are holding something extra.. So there for, when killed, You get credit..

I think you enter the unconscious state before you enter the dead state. That would mean that baggage would be turned off. Also in the rules for baggage nowhere does it say anything about giving points to you opponent.

It's not specific because it covers all it:
    • In the same way, players must consider that increase in such missions or scenarios in which players must calculate their Victory Points.
