I think pilots are fine. Their last update was really good imo. I agree on rules issues though, but i would rather CB make rulings based on their conclusive results whenever they need to rather than wait for N4. I think it would be thoughtful to at least address rules issues/concerns at the start of every ITS season, so that there are no rush judgements.
Essentially it's an online only rulebook that evolves, is updated regularly, and is not beholden to dead tree sources. Infinity is already halfway there with the official Wiki and FAQ/Errata planned every three months.
I never thought of a dog like that but the more i think about it the more your statement seems correct. Dogs need a person with alot of self-discipline and care which is sadly lacking in alot of people who adopt them. If you want a cuddle pet that isn't nearly as care intensive than look for a cat. They are much easier in my opinion but Dogs are a pleasure to experience in their own right.
As a cat person I strongly disagree. Cats are very complex pets, both at the level of individual needs and their requirements as a species. They require a lot of detailed attention when it comes to diet, healthcare, enviroment and playtime, and too many people taking in a cat simply don't realize what they will have to do, or aren't prepared to meet their pet's needs.
That is true. I've had both cats and dogs and cats were easier for me to take care of. Either that or I got a good catch when Tommy was still around.
Pets are awesome. If i could have a tiny pano tinbot knight in real life, i would definitely say it would be the best pet.
Something I do for fun in vanilla is take a hospitaller doctor with a palbot I call the squire but. It's only there to get into CC with the hospitaller and give him the boosts. When it works/happens it's hilarious. I made a little sword and shield for him too!
I was just making the joke but, I'm okay with that outcome :) I want a little Tinbot knight too :D That's adorable. I think I'd add a little cape to it.
We make them. It is just that the army doesn't think it can afford to pay for as many units as it can with Squalos. TBH, I think the Zeta unit will be as costly as a Marut or a Cutter. So, I don't think you can say that we are that pushed out of the TAG category. We are still those who field BS 15 HMG ones for about 80 points.
Yea PanO is also a sole manufacturer of Feubarach and up to not that long time ago we had literally single unit with this weapon (on single profile). Now we have 2 yay! <crowd goes wild> For 80 pts the Swiss Guard is a best TAG.
I know. I pissed off Gutier at the french satellite last year about it during the conference. I don't know why it is so hard to give us more of this weapon. On the other side, we don't lack Drop Bears. He doesn't have the TAG label (which enable REMs by itself), is S2 and doesn't have 3STR (so not immune to Protheion and Pherowares), don't have a specialist pilot which can also be used for minesweeping and is stuck with 4-4 MOV values. So, no, it's not a TAG. You can argue as much as you want, SG can't fill the role of a TAG. You need at least 2 SG to partially complete the role of one light TAG. Seeing TAGs as Heavy weapon carriers only is one big mistake people tend to do. They are now multipurpose troopers.
LOL. But good job! Well regarding Drop Bears neither are our enemies lacking of them. (though the more I think about linkable Black Friar the more I love the option of dropbears on 17s). Unless you have troops who are already performing this role better. In NCA I've never wished I've had a Uhlan instead of SG (though I tried to make several lists with Uhlan just for sake of playing it and never felt the list being "right"). Not to mention SG won't die 1st turn against JSA/Shasvasti/CA/(possibly Haqq)
Thank you. But I don't think that I can claim the fact that now we have Feuerbach for ORCs now. I would point more toward HellLois. And yes, once you get the hand at this, it is hard to not want to have your Black Friar linked. But fortunately, he is already really effective alone. The more I have thought about it and the more I think Uhlan is good for when you would have needed a Squalo but you don't want it get killed by the troopers you were suggesting. While Uhlan doesn't have TO, it still gets the camo state and the firepower to both threaten light and heavy targets (While a SG will use a lot of orders to scratch a Jotum). From all of our TAGs, that's the hardest to play. But he has this nice thing to be both a Camo TAG and to cost only 2 SWC while using two SWC weapons. Like a lot of units I've seen discarded, Uhlan isn't optimised for one role but is more in the "Jack of all trade" category for a PanO trooper. Some don't like those troopers and they are often those who love to play 15+ orders lists. Those, like me, who are more about playing 10 in one group see this kind of unit as an excellent compromise. So, from what I know about your gameplay, I'm not surprised and I will never ask you to love the Uhlan because it is not the tool you would be comfortable with. On the other hand, this doesn't mean that the unit is bad. I personally have a lot of difficulties to field SG as I find them enable to fulfill more than one role. And this hurts me a lot to pay 70- points to just fulfill one role in one point of the table (so if I mess up my deployment, my SG will be useless) and I prefer to invest maybe 10 more points in a TAG which will be able to grab objectives, kill things with DTW or even CC (rarely though) and which can be moved from one edge of the table to the other faster.
