What exactly is the purpose of the kriigel in that triad? It has no specialist so the triad will probably mostly stay back and go for the long HMG shots so Eraser won't really be in range. So is Kriigel only there to defend if someone tries to get close? I actually am trying Draal, Kriigel, Makaul Triad. Draal is specialist so can do objectives and the triad will want to get closer so better chance that eraser can be used
i try also similar Triads, The Sukeul FO with K1 usually goes with the Kriigel, so they can exploit their skills and range The AP Draal use to stay more at middle table, sometimes with Kosuil, sometimes with Sakiel
Not every triad needs a specialist (not that it hurts, but there is less specialist emphasis in season 10). So, the Kriigel offers white noise to provide gunfighting advantage against unlinked enemy MSV pieces, close-in defence, and also means the triad transitions well to an aggressive enfilade element, where it moves at speed up the flank of the board looking to simultaneously get long shots down horizontal angles at exposed enemy elements, get the makaul into melee, and position the Kriigel for maximum annoyance. This latter role is how I've used it and it's quite effective. The K1 Sukeul or any Draal profile offers a different but either less dangerous or more expensive alternative, but is also very good.
Thank you for explaining, I comepltly forgot that Kriigel got White Noise. That is useful you are right.
I’m very excited to test the list. Let’s see what will happen. Yeah really nice triad... worked very well in my last game even not using white noise due to the fact that my opponent played Ariadna Br
so for my playstyle, which starts with the philosophy that 20 orders is good, the sukeul hmg, kriigel, and makaul team is prolly the best kill team we have. depending on the map and enemy deployment, this team will either try to go up a flank and shoot everyone from behind, or it will move across the table leaving smoke and white noise to cover for the draal makaul makaul triad in the the other group. both versions leave the triad across the center line about 99% of the time, and having eraser that far up is just nuts. as far as the whole "triads need a specialist" i have never found that to be true. ive found it to be much more effective to just kill my opponents specialists, and then grab objectives with someone in the backline on turn 3, or have a clipsos pop up and touch buttons.
So many strategies I need to try out and not enough oponnents for that :( Thank you borings that makes sense
To be fair, with CB giving less and less emphasis on classified objectives and specialists in their missions, it often comes down to that. In my first turn, I often just “kill 'em till they're dead“ while slowly approaching the buttons. A triad of Sukeul HMG, Kriigel and Makaul is pretty well suited for that task. It's far more convenient for the clipsos to walk over corpses in order to push buttons, too.
