Good day to everyone (Or night, depends on the zone).

I've been invited to play in a tournament nearby soon (June 22th-23th), and I'm interested with this AI faction. The first army I've played was a Steel Phalanx, but after checking on the variety and viewing forums, I've decided to participate with O.S.S.

I just want to show this as my first O.S.S. list and want to know if there's a way to improve it. I called it...

viewing the details on the skills and weaponry of the units, I've read that the Samekh FTO "can be part of any fireteam of this sectorial army. I want to know if that means that it can be part of the Dactini links. I've also made another list, using the hackers' Controlled Jump program for the aerially-deployed Garudabots.

I suggest having a Dakini HMG in every single OSS list. It is the strongest gunfighter of the sectorial (and arguably one of the best gunfighter in the game). Take it before your sniper, pick a sniper as a secondary SWC if you wish.

I also suggest taking a full 3 post-human, they’re one of the biggest strength of the sectorial (especially Mk2). I personally prefer the AHD shotgun variant, Arguably the best specialist in the game and a wonderful attack piece. The sniper is also extremely popular.

Your first list is missing 3 points, add a Yudbot to your engineer.

I think 1 Daleth is plenty, you mostly want it for sensor and those 17 points could have a better return if spent somewhere else.

I’m personally not a huge fan of EVO in OSS, but I think your list supports it well. I think the Garuda are much better if they walk in on the side instead of rolling (especially the spitfire). I can appreciate that you maxed out on Lamedh and Got a Daleth on the list to maximize the Overclock EVO-Gadget potentia, it turns them into very potent ARO. With the amount of repeater you have, you could easily walk one near an edge where a Garuda will walk it to provide it assisted fire.

All in all, those seems like well rounded lists with plenty of order, should do good with a couple of tweaks. (Get an HMG!)

As an ISS player who avidly uses the Dakini HMG, I fully endorse this statement.

Same as the others, take either a dakini HMG or a deva MSV2 spitfire for your fireteam. These are the 2 best high burst weapons you can field.
The samekh FTO can join a dakini link, but i find it better to have a second dakini MSR, except if you really think the template will be useful.

Well, i'm not very fond of high order count OSS list, so i may be biaised here, but i think you're missing one of our best troop: nagas. If you play Steel Phalanx i can understand you're not used to having skirmishers, but if you can do some friendly games before that tournament i suggest you give them a try. FO and KHD nagas are sure choices. Dasyus are more expensive but well worth their cost too. Especially when you have that amount of repeaters (rudras and daleths), it's sad you don't take at least one KHD naga.

Now that you say it, it seems better to have the dactini with the HMG. I've made then some changes to the Alpha team.

I'll try this one today, to see how it works. I'll report later to let you know.

I've also made a list using Nagas and Dasyus, considering both FO (Naga) and KHD (Dasyu). I've called them Diazov Extra Deploy Operation, or...

Although I don't disagree with the Dakini HMG suggestion, he doesn't have to take a Dakini HMG as part of his fireteam. It depends on how he wants to use the fireteam. As his list stands currently, it appears that he is using it predominately as an ARO/defensive fireteam. It's in the second combat group (with fewer orders), and most of his SWC options are good ARO weapons. Now, if he is using the link in this way, my criticism would be that there isn't really a good active turn unit in that second combat group, like a Naga or other gunfighter, to utilize the Dakini fireteam's orders.

If he was planning on using the link as an active turn attack piece, then I would agree he should take a Dakini HMG, and move the link to the first combat group. However, if the link is mostly going to straddle some building, providing orders for other units in its combat group, and not activating, then there isn't necessarily a reason for him to take a Dakini HMG.

I agree with @Diphoration that one Daleth is enough, and the added Yudbot for 3 points is an obvious include.

Maybe a more balanced list would be:

It isn't inherently perfect for Classifieds and ITS objectives, as it doesn't have a paramedic/doctor (I couldn't find 2 points for the Dakini Paramedic), and has 5 specialists. The Shukra is in the second group because his regular lieutenant order can be spent across combat groups, so there's no reason for him to occupy a spot in the main combat group. A Netrod was kept in the first group due to its interaction with GH: Jumper. Zayin is in the second group because it will mostly serve as an ARO piece, however there are enough orders in the second group that if an attack vector opened up, you could activate it. EVO Hacker in the second group because usually it will only be spending an order once a turn for a hacking order, or something of the like, and doesn't need to eat up the first group's orders for that.

Hope that's helpful! If you knew what the ITS missions were for the tournament (they should be posted), we might be able to offer more advice on lists.

It's usually better to do the opposite. KHD nagas have mines while KHD dasyus don't. And FO dasyus make better speedbumps thanks to CH:TO and NWI, making them harder to remove (-12 to shoot at them while suppressive fire, and they have the ability to stop everything at every range thanks to flash pulse), and you don't want to give your opponent an easy way to neutralise them with one of their hackers.

    Decapitation
    Highly Classified
    Frostbyte
    Supplies

    I also have 2 questions:
    1) can the Probot get objectives, since is a hacker? Doesn't the fact that is a REM affects?
    2) can the Netrod stores all the jumpers? I know that both proxies work on 1 order, and once both leaves, the order jumps on the Beacon. But can it store both the proxies AND the Apsara Jumper NZ? I thought that in order to store that, I should have them in different groups.

    1) Yes, for pushing antennas in missions, the only requirement is that you are a specialist. For classifieds, you hacker REM will be able to do the ones which requires a hacker. Being a REM does not prevent you from accomplishing the objectives. (The Daleth is a very strong and common pick due to its high speed)
    2) Yes, when a post-human dies, you may put their order in any of your netrods (regardless of group) and if your netrod dies, you may transfer it to another netrod. So long as you have a netrod left on the table, you’ll keep the orders. They’ll be generated in the group that has the netrod.
