Certainly doesn't leave much for the rest of the force! So far I haven't heard of anyone taking the Guijia at all and i'm not sure this makes it much better.

It's extremely expensive, but I think taking that duo completely changes the way your build your IA list. If you take a link you're mostly locked into a Zhanshi Core, and that opens up midfield pressure from a Shang Ji Spitfire or Red Fury Haidao (if you're not opting for a defensive Haidao MSR). If you go super lean you can slot in a Zhanshi Core and a Hac Tao, which would be a very nasty surprise.

Problems still come from typical issues with LI lists though; short on orders, vulnerable to alpha strikes. And IA's defensive hacking coverage is unimpressive when it's unlinked, so you end up relying on Zhencha and Krit laying out mines to cover your Guijia, and at that point I feel like you're just better served taking a Hac Tao HMG. Having a multi-HMG and a lot of armor doesn't really make up for TO camo and everything that comes with it.

 

If PanO and Tohaa survived years of whining forum users, Yu Jing still has a few more to go before anyone should even twitch an eyebrow.

 

I'm more interested by the possible duos with wildcards or zuyongs than the one with the guijia.

 

Took a stab at it. 10 reg orders+1 TA. 5 Specialists. Kinda meh.

For now its the only reason to field Guija, anyway

 

The only good thing I can think of with this release is that it's now legal to field a Guijia + Shang-Ji Tinbot in a Duo, which is more in line with what the Guijia needs as Duo partner; the best thing about Krit's special Duo is that you don't have to bring Krit...

 

I mean if the Guijia gets a buff and actually isn't shite... Maybe it'll work? More the point is you'll be able to duo the Wildcards along in IA anyway....

Which means you can duo the Guijia with the way more cost efficient Haidao Engineer! Thanks Krit, you died for this.

Look I'm not expecting it but we can always hope they took the chance to randomly buff the Guijia on Monday. Please @Koni tell us you guys finally accepted the thing is shit and you've given it the touch it up it deserved with the rest of the damn TAGs 2 books ago.

 

That's only possible if the Guijia gets the Duo skill, right? If Krit's the only one with Duo then the Guijia's stuck hanging out on its own if he's not around.

 

Haidao and Guijia don't have the Duo Skill so they would not be able to go together. Unless they add duo to the Guijia. And since they are set on making no good changes to it, that's not likely to happen.

Only the Shang Ji is both a Duo and a Wildcard. Again Super expensive!

I'd be more inclined to have something replace the Guijia!

Why not? TAG with engineer is fun. Take your haidao msv link, daoing lt and some mowang - its better then nothing

 

Just try getting all of those things into a list.

Albeit not advisable.

 

In theory krit don't have the duo skill, just the special option. If they write to on the GUIJIA it will be legal. If not i will go back to the zhansi core + Zenchas and mowangs

 

Off a bit on points Krit is 39pts. So demote down a Zhanshi!

 

Still, it does prove the point of it being an option. Not a good option but an option.
