Hi, I have played Ariadna/TAK and to some extent OSS for almost two years now - but I feel I would like to jump the fence and try out the aliens for a bit. Is there anyone here that could recommend a type of Onyx all comers list? I have tried to look around the forums but I only find old stuff and I believe there has been some updates after third offensive. Also, is Onyx still a playable faction? BR, StuporMundi

A simple, "all comers" list for onyx tends to be: CORE of Unidrons, the cheapest terrace one is 2x missile launcher, 2x FO, 1 that can be a basis Unidron, a K1+Tinbot, or even a Nexus. Kerr-Nau or Bit&Kiss Sphinx Fraacta Ikadronx2, possible Imetron x2 Maakrep if you really want to have MSV2, or Ko-Dali as an alternative. Remember you have no smoke, however. Dr. Worm & the Wormettes are your only Engineers and Medics. That would be all you can get and use most of the time. Xeodrons, Overdrons and Suryats are much more situational, while Rodoks are an interesting proposition. You will go for Limited Insertion more often than not, however, so even if you make them a Haris, it's very likely you will have one TAG or Malignos and Dr Worm in your 8th and 9th slots (and using the Undiron link with a Nexus Lt). So the things to buy: Onyx (actually called CA) starter box Unidron special weapons box Dr Worm box Ikadron + Imetron blister x2 EDIT: Forgot to add, Nexus blister Kerr Nau and/or Bit & Kiss blister Lower priority, in order: Rodok box Sphinx (be aware the model seems to be going to get an upgrade) Xeodron box (a xeodron can pose as an Overdron proxy in a pinch) Ko-Dali (you can proxy her with the Fraacta of the starter anyway, but the mini is really cool) CA remotes box ONCE THEY ARE RELEASED: Shasvastii Malignos & Noctifer (probably from the starter, or whichever comes out in a blister).
