Examples Up to 3 Fusiliers + 2 Orcs is a Special Core. So, Bipandra (count as Fusilier) + Clipper (wilcard) + Patsy (wildcard) is a valid Fireteam. If Bipandra was a Wildcard, that would NOT be valid...
Cartographer, You are making things up just to suit a conception of what HellLios said At no point does he mention that the "link must be a Core link+options" he only says it must include one of hte troopers on the sectorial chart. The sectorial chart lists 4 Fontoviks +112 as its own link. It does not list it as a frontovik Link+112 As such, the 112 qualifies for what HellLios has written.
Edited my Yan Hou reply earlier, didn't realise they couldn't form a Haris naturally. That says "special" not "core". I do see your point, I just don't think it's a clear-cut contention. You have always needed to specify what unit from which you are forming the fireteam, it just wasn't relevant until wildcards were so widely introduced. 112 do not have permission to form a fireteam core, it's not listed as an option. So you can't form a fireteam core from 112. Frontovniks have permission to form a fireteam core, it is listed as an option. So you can form a fireteam core from Frontovniks You can make a special fireteam core of 4 frontovniks + 112; this can only be a Frontovnik fireteam core as, of the two units, only one has permission to form a fireteam core (unlike VIRD Fusiliers + Orcs, where both units have permission to form a core and both have permission to form a special core). Now, I am prepared to be wrong if HellLois specifies differently, but that would rather fly in the face of what he has already said.
No, but one of them Counts as a Mobile Brigada which can be part of an Alguicil Special Fireteam Core. I'm wondering how that works.
It would appear that you couldn't form an Alguacil core then. But it sounds like you could form a Mobile Brigada core with them (assuming the other two were wildcards).
Why not though? I get it's academic, I'm asking to try and understand. A MB is a member of this Fireteam on the Sectorial chart: "CORREGIDOR ALGUACILES Core, Special Special Fireteam: Core. Up to 3 Alguaciles and up to 2 Mobile Brigadas." It's not an Alg core that 'can be joined by up to 2 Mobile Brigada' but a specific entity of its own
You must include one trooper in the chart 112 is in the chart He did not say you need a troopers with fireteam core in the same manner as a haris
I believe you could restate @HellLois statement more precisely as "When creating a Fireteam: Core that includes Wildcard troopers, you must include at least one trooper from one of the units listed for that Fireteam in the Sectorial chart that has Fireteam: Core noted in its profile, or a trooper who counts as one." I think that would answer all the questions, unless I've missed something
It is actually an Alguacil core, and always has been, we just never bothered before to specify. Likewise, the Brigada core (of exactly the same composition) is a Brigada core, a separate entry (i.e. they're not the same thing, but you can still only take one or the other). In that situation though it's irrelevant, both Alguacil and Brigada can form both a Fireteam Core and the special Fireteam Core. But, to form an "Alguacil" core, you need either an Alguacil or a trooper that "counts as" an Alguacil.
Guys, do not derail from this: https://forum.corvusbelli.com/threa...ireteam-core-troopes.33723/page-2#post-259435 You need to look at the Chart. 4 Frontovik + 1 112 is a valid Core? Yes. Having a 112 OR a single Frontovik is enough, the rest could be all Wildcards.
Not entirely correct. See Helllois' response regarding Dahshat. If a Rui Shi doesn't count in 4xABH+Rui Shi when the special Fireteam is Zuyong+Rui Shi, then 112 + 4xWildcards isn't sufficient because 112 is not a valid model for a natural Fireteam.
I see 4 Frontovik + 1 112 as a valid special core. It is already a deviation from a true core, which includes 5 members of the same kind. Those deviated fireteams are not a valid base to swap any members (but one) for Wildcards.
This is a can of worms. At this point I'd suggest an official doc on how fireteams work. So many options now its just causing confusion.
