Thanks! I may have to to do that to my Oyama, he is really at the bottom end of human variability compared to Domaru.
Converting things instead of painting them. Woo. Father Knight with Missile Launcher conversion. ORC body and arm from starter, Knight of Santiago robe bits and sword/scabbard, and Swiss Guard Missile Launcher arm. Fit together with minimal green stuff. I googled FK w/ML and came up with a thumbnail from the old forum, was pretty inspirational :). Pretty happy with how this one turned out. Hopefully I can get it painted for the weekend tournament.
I felt bad for the lady I had taken the arm from for my Yuan Yuan so I gave her a new one! Took a robot arm from the Dactyls Support Pack (I made one of those already so I didn't really need two). I was surprised by the result, it look pretty good!
It's not a Tech-Bee actually, it's a fusilier from which I stole the gun for another mini (see the previous page). I guess she now only has a pistol and a super strong robot arm!
Although after putting the primer, I kinda lost the abs definition so I had to remove it. We'll see how it looks later.
Huzzah! I was going to say that if you are very careful with your skin tones and aren't really using any washes, you can slowly build the abs back up with paint. I did that to an Anima Tactics mini.
Do you mean by piling up paint where the abs should be? I suppose it would have worked, but I,m glad I don't have to! The lesson here is only put a thin coat of primer.
No, I just mean using shade&highlight to imply that there are abs. Though paint can build up when you do that, you're not trying to make the paint itself into a bump.
Ah so faking it! That's still tough! But I don't need it anymore cause I salvaged it :3 Had to stop painting for today though. The head wasn't properly glued so I had to redo it. Should be fine tomorrow.
